Relax, she is fine.

But now I have the perfect excuse to replace the OEM front bumper with an ARB bumper. My rig is 2001 100 series. I am trying to decide between these two version. Anyone have any thoughts on which one to get? It appears that one can be connected to airbags (+$300). Is it worth it?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Lol on the fender bender.

I don't think you have multiple options on the ARB bumper. They made different versions for different years because the air bag compliance mechanism changed during a facelift in the Cruiser. You should get what was made for your year. Check ARB's site for the appropriate model numbers. I think the 4wheel parts listings are incorrect in the applicable years.

3413050 is the part number you want. This will be for the pre 02 models and won't involve any cutting.

The hardware that came with mine was a bit suspect but we made it work. There is no connection for airbags, just the fact that the bumper is airbag compliant and will crumple if need be.

We installed the 2003-2007 version of the “ARB Deluxe Bar” on my son’s 2000 TLC (without any fitment issues). The primary reason we chose the later model, was because he wanted the optional fog lights.

If I remember correctly, the 98-02 version has a separate winch cradle, where on the 03-07 a winch bolts directly to the bumper.

Thanks, this is what I ordered. I am going to attempt install this weekend...

Whatever you do, DO NOT have 4WP do the install. I would highly recommend supporting our community vendors and purchase from one of them.

Thanks for the tip. They want $450 for install...insane. If I don't have to cut anything, hopefully I can manage. Over/under is 10hrs!

Dude, like way under. Over under 2 hours probably still the under, especially if you aren't wiring a winch.

I wouldn't even buy it from 4WP. Their customer service SUCKS. I just bought an ARB for my '84 Pickup last week. I ordered through 4WP - they showed it as in stock with a 7-10 day delivery. They ran my credit card. Six days later, I checked the status... "Pending". I contacted customer support to see what that meant. I was told it was "backordered with no ETA." I asked if they were planning on telling me that. The reply: "Do you want to wait or not?"

Fortec (a Jeep shop) in Roswell, GA found the LAST ARB bumper (for an '84 Toyota Pickup) in North America - sitting on a shelf in a warehouse in Washington and had it to me in one week - and beat 4WP's price. Oh, and the little independent shop wouldn't run my card until they were certain the bumper was in transit. Those guys were so cool, it almost made me want to build a Jeep... nah ;)
