The hose is from the NPR truck the engine came out of. I couldn't of asked for a better fitting hose!

Still trying to fix oil leaks. Got the tach drive leak straightened out. Drilled a larger oil return passage from the area under the seal to the bottom of the housing.

One more leak in the oil cooler area behind the injection pump. Going out now to pull the intake to get a better view. Hopefully the pump doesn't need to come out.

I had an oil leak in the same area on mine. After hours of looking and trying to find out what was leaking, it turned out to be a tiny crack in the timing gear housing next to a bolt! I thought it was gasket and resealed everything around it 2 times before finding the crack.

I cleaned the area real well with carb cleaner and ran the engine. The IP gears fling a lot of oil and the cover crack was just above the PS pump and leaked on the backside between the IP and the block. Very hard to see and leaked worse when hot also.

Just an idea to check out. It is nice to not leave puddles where ever you go...LOL. People might think we are driving heeps!

Looks good

Actually the leak on mine ended up being at the lower rear corner of the oil cooler housing. Thinking that the oil cooler housing only covered a water area, i kept scratching my head thinking it COULDN'T be there and kept looking for leaks in other places that might be trickling down to that spot. After spending too much time staring at it, finally pulled it all apart.

There is a hole to the oil pressure galley that is covered the cooler housing that serves no purpose. The gasket has a tiny sealing lip in the center that surrounds the water area, but not the oil hole. I wish I'd taken a picture of the cover and gasket. There is a recessed area in it where it covers the hole. No O ring made is tall enough to seal i, and there isn't any seals in the gasket kit that would work.

I'm left puzzled if there should be a seal that goes there, or the aftermarket gasket should of had a sealing lip that should have gone around the lower portion of the hole???

My solution was to make a steel plug and epoxy it in the hole.

Finally got the leak situation fixed with the tach drive. I had to drill a larger drain back port from the area under the seal.

DONE !!:bounce:
Now my wife and friends might see more of me :D

Leaks are finally all gone, A/C system is complete and charged up.
Took it out for it's first drive out of the neighborhood. No issues at all.

Still some blow by, but hopefully that will clear up after break in.

New AutoMeter gauges installed. Dimmer switch added.
