Hello,
Just curious if someone knows if Wits-End is still in business.
I ordered a bunch of parts, got confirmation of the order, and then no shipping confirmation for 2 weeks.
Been unable to contact Joey.
Hopefully it's just a glitch. I purchased many parts from Wits-End with always good service.

The last newsletter I received from him (early December) was that he was moving again, unexpectedly it seems.
So hang tight. Not sure what's going on but hopefully he'll resurface as soon as he can.👍
 
Still in business? Yes.

Depends on what you order. I had two separate orders in the last couple weeks, one of which shipped in three days and the other has yet to ship. Probably just an inventory backlog for the kit I'm waiting for.
 
@NLXTACY recently had knee surgery and his wife has been sick off and on. Plus as noted above he did recently move to a larger place.
 
My advice to anyone is if the item(s) is available elsewhere, order it from there.

Need a genuine Toyota part? Just buy it from the dealer. I buy from McGeorge Toyota and they are fast to ship and prices are reasonable.

Joey did report that his website was hacked recently with paid orders disappearing. He has the money, but not the order. Seriously Sus.

Received every order I've placed over the last 2-3 years. I recall his wife being in surgery a couple of years ago and my parts came in within 2 days still...only found out cause my friend's order took a week longer.

Life happens and he's a one-man show. I'll trust him to come through but like everyone else said maybe cancel your order and get your parts elsewhere.
 
I've ordered from him before and follow him on IG. Very much still in business and very much busy. That being said, if I need a yota part, I just get the p/ns from his website which he so graciously lists. Thanks Joey
 
I'm also about a month delayed and no response. Seems like it's a reputable vendor here, and I've ordered from them before but...
Have had an order from all the way from January that still has not shipped or gotten any update whatsoever. Hope everything is okay but i'm $500 in the can to them and not heard anything back. :(
 
I’ve placed several orders in the past with no issues. My recent order is going on 3 weeks with no shipping confirmation or email response. I’ll give Joey a little more time before canceling. Life gets in the way sometimes.
How do you cancel the order? I can't get in touch with them at all.

I saw a thread created in the 80 section (maybe it was you?) yesterday saying similar. After a few replies it was promptly deleted with no evidence it ever existed. Thought that was weird.
 
You guys really gotta stop making excuses for vendors playing games, all you're doing is letting more guys get played.

Next time it will be you and you'll never know because anytime someone raises a gripe they get shot down. It HAS happened in the past on some big ticket stuff, happened exactly like this and happened to me.......

I do ecommerce, spare me the excuses it is inexcusable to leave your customers hanging for weeks with no communication it would take an apocalyptical event for me to do that to my customers. These vendors get away with it because they know there is no consequence for it, which you guys are enabling.

Thank you @Francis K ... I totally agree. Its sad too bc this is a source that people rely on for information, why try to cover it up? all the excuses of "life gets in the way" - or "give joey another few months..." well thats fine, but if you cant fulfill orders, don't accept them anymore. its really simple

I'll be honest I have had an issue with wits end in the past and it was a pretty egregious one but I'm not saying these things to specifically bag on wits end. I'm sure this will all get sorted in the end, even if right now it is inexcusable, I'm speaking generally in regards to making nonsensical excuses for a vendor because you know his first name or had an order go well in the past.

There have definitely been times in the past where guys got burned pretty bad, myself included, and others knew what was going on but kept quiet or were suppressed by the vendor cheerleaders. That shouldn't be happening, it does all of us a disservice when you eliminate accountability.
 
Why was it deleted?
It states it was deleted due to not being tech related. Its near the bottom of the first page in the chit-chat section.
