Is this winch cable/rope any good?

G'day,

I picked myself up a secondhand Warn XD 9000 winch on ebay. I un-spooled the cable to inspect it. It seems ok except for this kink (See the pics).

What'ya reckon......None of the strands are broken. Should it be replaced??

Winch cable is cheap do the safe thing, REPLACE IT.

The only reason to use a cable with that kind of damage is if happened on the trail, you have no spare and your life is in danger.

replace it with some actual rope from rockstomper.com

If it is close to one end, cut and redo the end

Pull it tight and smoosh some JB-Weld in there.

I've just read the Billavista winch bible and I think I've answered my own question.....I'm going to replace it.
