I have to finally bite the bullet and replace my cats to get through emissions. KCC converters has a rebuild pair from a 94 for $380. Photo looks right and I am assuming this will match my 93 but would appreciate it if anyone who knows different would chime in b/c KCC was not totally sure (they initially quoted me a 91 cat). The measurements are 12" flange to flange and the flanges are 2 bolt.

I can't see that link from work (internet cops  )

I can check it tonight and I will see if I can fish out my spare set of cats and put a tape measure on them for you.

The illustration looks correct. I'll try to dig out my spare set and measure them. The ends are "straight" for sure.

thanks Dan and Tyler...

Hi, ok they moved the goalposts on me. They don't have a complete set of cats as advertised with the cat cover but they believe they have two identical separate cats that are correct. Here is the photo. The cat is 12.5" long and the flanges are 2 bolt with the holes spacing 4.25" on centre.

Are the two cats identical on a 93?

Does this look correct to folks?

No Dan this is not a way to get to go into the crawlspace ;) A visual assessment is fine...

Yes, both cats are the same. The dimensions sound about right. I really would like to fish one of my spares out and put a tape on it.

That one looks right except for what appears to be a tag tacked to it. That may be their identifier. They are not originally painted either but that shouldn't matter.

Thanks Dan. I wondered about that tag too as it looks pretty ratty and I am a little nervous that those dents on the right are not OEM either! Also, do the welds on the flanges look original?

Dan62 and Brad, we have tighter emissions testing in BC than California and I have to pass a 4 wheel dyno drive test so aftermarkets with uncertain precious metal loads just won't cut it. KC converters says they refill to OEM precious metal loads and gives a 3 year guarantee. It's that or OEM!
