Currently looking at a 95 LC with 193k for $18,000 and an 01 LC with $127k for $17,000. Both vehicles are one owner with extensive maintenance records and are completely rust free as they’ve been in Arizona their whole lives. Are these prices fair or do they seem pretty high? I’ve been looking at cruisers for a few years now and know they tend to run above their book values but these prices seem a bit high in my opinion. Just wanted to get some more opinions before going through with one of them.

Both of those seem like they are priced almost double what they should be, just my opinion. Check the classifieds on mud for better deals.
Yeah, for two seemingly stock examples, and not mint (see bumpers on 100) these are high.
Paint on the 100 looks trashed. I bet it looks like total crap up close. Even looking at that 2” photo taken from 20’ away I can see the trim is all sun burned. It’s sad to see how lazy these greedy dealerships are getting. Asking that kind of money and can’t have their touchup guy fix that bumper.

Although I have 04 100 at the moment, I have had two 80's in the past, yes the 100 has more gadgets and is a more comfortable ride (arguably) with AHC, but I think the 80 series is over all the best heavyweight LC of the modern era, so just going by you brief description and the two photos, I would go for the 80.
As for the price, all Land Cruisers hold their price well and car dealers know this and will try to milk you for every cent. I must agree with the previous comments the 100 looks from the photo the worse for wear, perhaps you could give a more in depth description and some more detailed photos of both, so that a more informed reply may be given.

If you buy anything from a used car lot it's bound to be overpriced. Due to covid the used car market has sky rocketed. Auction prices are higher so retail will be higher.
I bought an '06 LX ( I know, not the same) a few months ago for $12,5. Granted it's an LX and it had 180K on the odometer but it's a frame of reference. If I were you I would open up the search criteria and be patient.

Right and wrong, they will hit a ceiling until they become a classic then the skys the limit. As with anything it's only worth what someone will pay for it, don't rush and have a look on Ebay or other sites as to what price comparable LC's are selling for, not asking for. Personally I think they are both over priced, the only notable points in the OP is that they are one owner and from a dry state, but if I had to make a choice, as I previously said, I'd go for the 80.
This is great advice. Tough if you can be patient, however.
I looked for over a year before pulling the trigger. Autotrader, cars.com, ebay motors, cargurus.com, craigslist, etc. It becomes a full time job but part of the thrill is the chase. I opened up searches across the US figuring if I can get a decent deal then it's worth the plane ticket and a fun drive back home. My preference was southern cars and because of feedback here I searched for LX's. They tend to be cheaper, more readily available and in better (mall cruiser) condition.
Good luck with the search and make sure you have alerts set for all those searches.
Same for me. I live in AZ, so that helped. 18 month search for my first 100 series, another 12 months search for the second.
If locked the 95 should be around 14k

This LC has 153k miles and was in IL from 2001-2013.
Have you driven both an 80 and a 100? They're very different vehicles.
