Is my windshield defective? My wipes make a "scraping" when using them (1 Viewer)

I wanted to ask how other peoples rain wipers sound, if it's loud or quiet.

This is a new 2023 GX with currently 3,000 miles on it. Finally had a chance to drive it in serious rain in Los Angeles this past weekend. While using my wipers in the rain, I notice a weird "scraping" sound at full extension and when it returns to the bottom. I haven't noticed this sound before in the rain so I started to look at my windshield more closely.

I have cleaned the windshield with all kinds of cleaners but I notice there is almost an "imprint" of "scuffing" on the windshield that causes some glazing and this weird sound. When I used wiper fluid, the sound goes away for a little bit and is super quiet, which I think would be the default for a luxury car. It then comes back and is a loud enough sound that it's bothering me and can be dangerous when it starts to glaze over.

I have attached some pics and below is a youtube playlist link so you can see how it sounds with just rain, dry, or using wiper fluid.

It looks like some sort of wax or petrochemical product. I'd clean it well with a good cleaner (I like Stoner Invisible Glass) and a microfiber cloth. It may take a number of cleanings to get it off.

I’ve used a number of different cleaning products but no luck.

I’ll try Stoner Invisible glass cleaner

Sid you take it through a car wash lately? Seems to be a nee trend to add all sorts of ‘protectants’ to the wash cycle that can do this. Especially waxes.
I took through a car wash in December actually so maybe some of a wax or something is still on there. I had been up to Lake Tahoe and wanted to wash all the salt and whatever else gunk from the roads off the car.
Ive taken all my prior cars there without any issue but maybe they changed something in the last few months

I used numerous strong cleaning products but with no luck. Might need to get a degrease or dewaxer type cleaning product

Vinegar soaked rag or towel cuts through lots of stuff. Purell Hand Sanitizer on whatever that won't cut. Lots of times it's really small droplets of sap or "protectant" as mentioned above.

Once cleaned really well, maybe use Rain-X.
