So in my search for another 80, I came across this '94 80 with 154k miles. I test drove it and is pretty solid. Only obvious issues is that it needs valve cover gasket and maybe oil pump gasket, power steering pump, and EGR system needs attention (CEL on). I'm not scared to work on this as I have owned three and have done full repair and maintenance myself. It does not have lockers but I don't mind as I prefer that it has low miles, clean cloth blue interior, nice white exterior (no factory roof rack), zero rust, new tires. However, is it priced right at $6500? That's the lowest the the owner will go.

Did you confirm w your own eyes there is Zero rust ?

What seals are leaking?

Knuckles wipe clean ?

Then price is good.

Yeah I was beneath the thing for about 30 min and did not find any rust. It's originally from Midland area according to paperwork. Knuckles are not absolute clean but not at all soupy either. I would need to take it to a car wash and power wash the engine bay to see where the oil leak is coming from but it is d finely leaking from the valve cover. I should mention that the owner runs fully synthetic.

While fairly new to the world of the 80 series, had that been near me when I bought mine I would have probably offered his lowest price. As you said, low miles and no rust that you can see. The other issues are more or less a given on a 20+ year old vehicle. I've bought more than my fair share of vehicles, motorcycles and firearms. Somebody will always say you can get it for less or there's better deals out there. Sometimes you get lucky and they fall in your lap, but there's no guarantee of waiting a month or 6 to only be disappointed or regret not buying the one you could have.

Then again it doesn't hurt to show up waving $6k cash to see if he bites, can always keep the other $500 in your other pocket just in case.
