Been a long time member with now my 3rd LC. Current iteration is a well built 2020 LC200. I am thinking of selling her and I wanted to know if it is ok to discuss current market values so I may get educated. If not, totally cool. Let me know.

Be well.

Post up some pics and what you’ve upgraded. I’m in the market 😎

There are lots of threads on here right now about market values. Here's one:

Not sure, a moderator would have to weigh in. At least theoretically, this is a tech forum, but it strays far from that on a regular basis. I've had threads moved to other forums for reasons beyond my understanding, yet see threads on non tech stuff regularly. You roll the dice and take your chances. Your 2020 is probably worth some insanely high amount to the right buyer. I've found built rigs harder to sell (smaller addressable market), but all it takes is ine buyer that loves the mods you've done and has the money to make it happen.

Put it on an auction site with the reserve you want.

Just put a price on it, and lower it until it sells. That's how millions of used cars are sold every year. It's not rocket surgery.
Hit ‘em with a gif!

Thanks for all the feedback Gents. I am taking her for a bath today and will snap some pictures. I will post them here just to show the mods and talk about selling in the appropriate section of the forum

Don’t overprice it. Also, just because you added off-road components, doesn’t mean it will sell for more or faster. Majority of LC buyers prefer bone stock for several reasons. I’ve been watching Cargurus and Autotrader for the last two months. The trend I’ve seen, is if your LC is White it will sit much longer. LC has reached its peak pricing last month and is trending downward. The majority of LC’s available are white and black being the next most available color. Grey, blue and silver are the least available for sale. What I like about White, is it offers a longer lasting or at least more durable paint…Please correct me if I’m wrong.

White and black are by far the most common, I see more dark grey after those two with silver running a close 4th. The maroon/burgundy and blue are very rare in my experience. I like our white Cruiser, but I wanted silver and the misses wouldn't allow it haha. To the OP, I'd pull KBB value and then mark it up from there for current market adjustments and/or mods.

It always also depends on how much you want to do by yourself. Especially with motorcycles I’m always build everything back to original (if possible) and selling the parts extra. At the end you have much more money than selling it all together. When you then sell the car you can offer the buyer the extra stuff. This gives the buyer more flexibility and you get more money. Like my second Africa Twin (tryed the 2020 modell for a year). The difference between selling with parts and without was around 3000€.
Ps.: you can never have too much motorcycles

Again, thanks for the feedback Gents. I am not looking to score a outrageous price, but a fare deal based on market values.

Here is the rig.
2020 Model
Pearl White w/ brown leather interior
17k miles (tires and suspension have less since the OEM stuff was the first few thousand)
Entire build was done at OK4WD in NJ. I can provide the full build sheet and all OEM maint paperwork
ARB Front Combo Bar - color matched to the pewter color of the OEM grill (you gotta look close)
ARB Rear bumper with hitch and both covers ( I haven’t towed anything with her as of yet) - color matched
OEM Trailer wire harness under rear bumper
ARB high intensity fog and driving lamps (one of each) - bezel was color matched also
Interior light switch is OEM style and sits with the other light buttons
OME shocks and springs - pretty sure they did a diff drop but I have to find the paperwork. Told them to “do it right” but I am not near the invoice
Including tires, she is 2.5-3” higher than stock
OEM Wheels have been color matched to the bumpers which is a Toyota OEM paint, just used on the grill. Looks cool
BF Goodrich Tires - great condition.
All the paint work was *off* the vehicle so it is 360deg paint for the bumpers
I think I got around $20K of stuff into her?

Reason I am considering departing with my LC after 20years of having LC’s…. I changed jobs in 2020 and I work 2hrs from home. I need more of a higher tech (interior) SUV with better mileage and all the mobile office comforts (apply car play, etc). I used to race motorcycles and always loved the LC’s for towing but I don’t do that any more either so.. thinking about a Euro wagon of sorts (maybe a M-series X7). I am in no hurry to sell. Just thought it was a good time to poke around.

Advice? Feedback?

Great looking rig , I’m in your area , I was a west coast guy got years , NJ / PA is more mud and sand , LC 200 are awesome truck I still have my 2020 LC 200 but just sold the wife’s LC 200 , she prefers the BMW over the beast as she called it .
I had all the mods to put on her 2019 LC200 … I would have lost money putting the mods on LC vs just selling it as all stock I 95k trade value , went down to a dealer in Virginia .
I did not need the dough so I actually took a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Diesel and a big check of the balance .
The modified vehicle market is pretty tough , especially if you have a gas guzzler makes it even harder .
I feel the high price vehicle market is going to be really short , semiconductors are going to start making a re stocking , dealers are starting to not charge a premium , I just picked up a 2022 TRD Pro 4runner , MSRP 56k and 600 for fees , just picked it up yesterday .
Once the Fed starts raising rates economy is going to slow , going to force a hard rest … everyone has bought new cars in the past year ,its really crazy car market with all this cheap money .
Next 3 months are usually slow with Xmas bills , I think spending is going to slow .

Off to the classified section.

You’ll love the X7. Best luxo road warrior I’ve owned. Looks like you already own a bimmer. I can see it in the rear view mirror 😜

This listing has popped up in some local to me FB pages… comments range from ‘this is a troll’ to ‘I hope the seller gets the mental help he desperately needs’.
Has to be a typo. $220k???
My '19 bone stock Brandywine is "sold" at a bargain for half that!

I'll even fill the gas tank, practically doubles the value of the vehicle :bang:

What is more amazing is that you did all those wonderful mods….. and yet still have factory running boards! Sliders are probably the first and most important mod after tires. That is the real tragedy of selling this. :D

If you convert back to stock you'll probably fetch as much or more than you paid for it.

With the mods, I suspect you'll actually take a hit on the price as you've now reduced the pool of interested buyers to either those who want ARB bumpers and an OME lift or those who will replace those mods with either the OEM parts or different mods.
