Hi guys. Recently trying to do a job on front diff bushing. I went through a lot of thread and YouTube. Most people do the job replace the whole support assy aka diff support I believe? Is it necessarily to replace that to improve handle and fix the clunk issue. Or just one diff bushing are good to go.

Cheers

I personally did all three. It was not nearly as bad as people say. An air hammer for the diff cover bushing and just buy the other two in their arms as assemblies. It takes about two hours going slow and steady. There was still movement in the drivetrain after doing just the center one that looked ragged. The others did look fine. Doing all three substantially reduced the clunk. I do not have any noticeable driveline slack now even when moving from park. As each truck is different, ymmv. Between this and upkeep of zerk fittings in the driveshafts, everything should feel great unless there’s other mechanical issues.

Replace as many bushings as budget allows for to eliminate clunks and slack in the drive train.
