Is a M416 or M101 CDN right for me?

Take a look at Manley ORV trailers.
Josh and his crew in Ohio build a nice unit.
They will customize to your needs too.

That is the unit that I was remembering, didn't recall the pricing.

With a $3k budget I think that anything new worth having will be out of range. Agree with Brentbba, should be able to buy used and have funds to modify as needed/desired.

Undefined - SOA with 285's is sitting 49" ground to trailer body lip. PITA to lift heavy items out of it at that height.

Wrong part of the country but here is a clean M416. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/rvs/4346449152.html Not to hard to find in this price range. Had to deal again with backing up a M416 behind my Sequoia at night. Not fun. On the trip back I used a FJ40 to spot it where I wanted it. Something to keep in mind when towing a narrow trailer behind a 100 series.

A long or extendable tongue can make this easier. It's still not a lot of fun, but it isn't as "gone" when it shows up in your mirrors and is more easily recovered. BT, DT with all three of my (relatively short) trailers and long wheelbase tow rigs.
