Has anyone heard of, or better installed a Ironman 4x4 suspension lift?
Have new supplier called Camel 4x4 in NJ.
any Input would help me decide between Ironman or OME!
I'm NEW, Hope this is right place to ask this?

I believe that Ironman is an Australian line of parts now being sold here in the U.S. I've never seen any of their stuff so I couldn't express an opinion - but OME on the other hand is high-quality stuff that has been sold here for many years and has many reputable dealers. I've run an OME lift on my truck (still have their springs and shocks on the back) and installed many more, and have no hesitation in recommending their stuff. Not the absolute best lift out there, but high quality and excellent value for the money, the best bang for the buck. Much better performance than stock Toyota suspension on the FJC. The thing I really like about OME is that their lift kits are complete and well thought-out, and always work as advertised. Pay attention to their recommendations for weight vs. spring rate.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Exactly the answer I expected! & Thanks!

Since both are Australian, was hoping for same quality.
Ironman/CAMAL 4x4 almost $100 less w/adjust front struts, thinking no OME trim spacers needed!

No experience with ironman, but I just put the OME on my Fj and am VERY happy with the results.

If you want to know more about Ironman, you could call Eli at Camel 4x4. From what I've heard he's a great guy and will help where he can.

Thanks!
EXACTLY The route I am NOW taking!
Already Called, The Deal is DONE!

Just had to gather Input BEFORE going there.
$$$ is $$$
Only Wish to do Job ONCE!

Now, I have to LEARN
A) "How to CLOSE Thread".
Or,
B) Drive On & Off road couple months, to Post Update.

Are you going with the Ironman lift then? Definitely interested in hearing about it once installed.

Thanks!

No need to close the thread. Best thing to do is post up before and after pics as well as a trail report once you get it off-road for an evaluation. Its good to get feedback from users who take on a new product that few have experience with.

Please follow up with a report on how you like it when all is said and done...

You are already done but 0.02c worth is Ironman is where OME were 15 years ago. They are growing big time here in Aust and have a good reputaion - a definite competitor in the Aussie market.

Cheers Dobster

Once upon a time OME were the best through lack of competition ,but now its an ARB brand and no longer make their own springs and outsource everything.
Ironman has a growing reputation but which one is best is anyones guess.

IMO, Dobinsosn Springs are the best in oz and they do a kit for the FJ
TLCruiserman on MUD is an agent for them

WILL Keep Post On Going!!

Trying to be Realistic, NOT! LOL!
Hope to have Ironman Installed & Aligned by Mid March.

As per Dobster's 0.02c! Thanks,
& after some SOON 4Wheelin, HOPE to have GREAT Updates!

As per IMO, Dobinsosn Springs, Did NOT see $$$ of,
& I Cannot AFFORD "The BEST IN OZ".
Ironman is in price range, well, JUST OVER!
More Later.
LOL!

Dobinsons All the way is the best suspension , I had run them all OME, Iron Man & Dobinsons is the best is the only company that produces their Springs in AUS and had been on bussines for more than 50 Years, Family Owned , Dobinsons Springs don't sag and the performance is great these are the "industrial "version of Springs!!

Ive had Dobinsons leafs on my 73 series for 5+ years and its done some work. They still sit flat and have not sagged at all that I can detect
The price was no dearer than the competition here (except for the crap made in India etc) but obviously this may not be true in NA

Springs

Ironman is sh---. Their warrenty is not worth the paper it is writen on. 3 sets and broken springs in 4 weeks. Dobsen is very good. We use EFS on our 12 hzj 75s and no problems and the price is good.

Ironman has LOCAL supplier!
IF I have ANY Trouble, I WILL make their Front Door BIGGER w/Ford F350! LOL!
(Sorry, That was my Jersey Attitude!)
