I don't know anyone with the Ironman winch or seen it in action in person. Where I know a few people with the apex winch and are happy. Also seen it in action and was happy with the line speed.
 
The Apex winch is seriously impressive. Build quality is great, packaging is great. All of the electrical hardware include such as battery cut off and control pack relocation add a ton of value to the price point. I have no regrets not spending 2x as much.

Which HF one did you get the 399 or 599 one?
 
Anyone that has ordered get any updates? I got a call the other day asking where I wanted to pick it up from but that's it. Getting it before this weekend would've been perfect for install since Monday is a holiday

I got the call/email yesterday. I asked what day they think it might be delivered but did not get a response. My guess is Saturday or Tuesday if they put it on a truck today.

I got a call Tuesday (my order was placed this past Saturday 2/6) asking if I wanted to pay $35 to have the shipping company drop the bumper to floor level. The guy that called said they have expanded their operation to include two offsite warehouses and they need a moving truck to move ordered items from the storage warehouse to their main site to process it for shipping. Apparently they don’t own the truck and rely on the storage company to provide it or something like that. Short story long, the truck was given to someone else for a day or two so they were scrambling to figure out transportation but believed mine would be shipped by this weekend.

All I got was if I wanted to pick up from ups location or have it shipped to a business address. When I asked when they'd ship he said I'll get an email with the shipping info and address for the ups location I picked for when I can expect to pick it up. My issue is it said in stock and the never gave expected wait time so I can't be patient about it. I want to start ripping the bumper apart. I realize it's only been a week since I ordered and need to calm down..

Not with this, but with other large freight items, I've picked up at ups freight or other loading docks and it has always gone well. It is usually faster than waiting for them to arrange for a smaller truck that can deliver to my home.
