Ironman premium bumper

I have a 2016 LC200 and I connected the Brown and Red from Ironman light into the Red of the long LC Headlight side bulb unit that twists out (first photo) Then connected the Yellow of the Ironman light into the White of the LC corner most Headlight small socket housing the indicator (2nd photo). Lastly extended the White from the Ironman light to an earth point underneath a bolt already securing something else to the chassis (3rd photo). I used Scotchlocks similar to how others have done it. It was easy on the passenger side but needed to remove battery to do the same on the drivers side. For the fog lights I simply connected into the existing fog light connector wiring from the original bumper that allows fog light activation from the lighting stalk on the steering wheel.

LX is almost the same - this is pretty close to what I did.

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove/replace the grille after the bumper is installed? I have the bumper en route and getting installed next week. Meanwhile, I have some cleanup to do on my grille.

I’ve done it but it is very tight and not recommended, rather do what you need to now if possible.

So the 08-11 premium have the bull bar that is straight on the front and the 12-15 premium have the bull bar that bends in on the ends? I too ordered the 08-11 thinking I was getting the one pictured showing the bend in. It appears that in Australia you could get the 12-15 LC with the non hid lights? I think thats what is so confusing about the picture. Not to mention they show a 12-15 LC bumper picture where the 08-11 should be shown.

There should be a sticker on the inside of the shell that you can look at to verify you got the correct bumper. The bend is very slight so if you want to send me a message with the picture from the front and side, I can look. We are working this summer to get pictures of each bumper uploaded to the site so they look correct. Sorry for all the confusion on that!

I'm really considering switching my front dissent bumper to an ironman premium to switch up the look..... Anyone IM Premium guys have any thoughts?

Strongly discourage. I got mine installed, but after 3 days of expensive hell at the shop, dealing with multiple issues and the worst customer experience I've ever had with a company selling parts for a premium vehicle.

Man 3 days it took me and a buddy about 6 hours outside his garage lc200 16+ no hoop, and we had never installed one previously. Well installed easy bolt on bumpers on ford's. @tbisaacs as he has the premium on his lx.

I had 4 issues.

1) After the install, the inner edge on the passenger side made contact with the tab projecting from the headlight lens. This seemed like a clear hazard in real-world usage, so we trimmed some material off of the contact area to create more clearance. This exposed the bare metal, of course, so we also had to paint. Hours of work and money. A known problem reported by others.

2) The one camera-sized hole was deeply recessed in an area of the bumper in a way that caused the top, right, and left surfaces of the recessed areas to show up on the screen, impairing the image. We had to fabricate a custom metal bracket to resolve this issues. Time and money.

3) One of the upgraded LEDs we ordered was dead on arrival. Time, money, incomplete install, and...

4) My shop is two hours away and constantly booked, as they are one of the few shops in the northeast that do all Land Cruisers all the time. With my vehicle stuck at the shop due to the fog light issue, and already racking up additional labor costs, I called ironman to request that they overnight a replacement. They refused, leaving me to drive home with incomplete service after already having extensive delays and additional costs. I explained my situation, but their response could be paraphrased as "too bad for you." I had to wait for a replacement light and go back to another shop to install it, costing me more time, money, and lost time from work. I've had a few issues with other vendors, and they always worked with me to resolve them quickly. But not Ironman.

I will never buy or recommend their products to anyone. Of course, this is just my experience. Hopefully, others' have been better.

I also have had horrible experiences with them on other products.

@DJCloz
Had my premium installed along with IM 12k winch at a shop. After a year of use but no damage to headlight, tab was cut off using a grinder and cutter blade, splash of paint and done. No need to remove bumper. I had a fog light fail, and customer service asked for a picture and asked me to verify wiring was not issue. No problem, drop plate, snap picture and test wiring by swapping out working light. They sent not one but 2 replacement fog lights.

Camera placement on front bumper is a slight issue and they should address it but it wouldn't and doesn't affect my opinion or buying decision. I have same issue with my Slee rear bumper but it wouldn't affect my buying decision as both bumpers have saved my bacon.

I use this truck hard. Not abused but it is put to work. Utah, Colorado, NM, Wyoming, all over Texas/Louisiana on smooth roads, rough roads, on obstacles, pulling tree stumps, pushing trees with the bumper on hunting lease, etc. No issues whatsoever. It looks good on the truck and it has worked for me no problem. For the price, it was a no brainer.

Installed IM premium about 2 months ago along with IM 12k winch. No issues. Like it. Well made with good fit. Recommend getting LED lights to replace the ones that come with the bumper.

Your bumper is all the way up to the headlights, I like it. It seems that other bumpers are lower like on the lc200s. Do you know if there is a way of installing them different ways? or is it just because you have higher model?

Certain replacement bumpers are no cut full replacement, others you have to cut the plastic.

Just installed as per their recommendations. There are adjustments to be made but for most part, bumper bolted on. As John said above, this is a complete replacement for front. My rear Slee bumper there was cutting involved of the plastic.

I'll trade you mine! 😂
I wouldn't make the switch. Also depends on what you're use case is, but the things I was upset about are:
- no front tow points
- wings are flimsy so if you wheel and plan to use the corners expect it to flex and give a lot.
- I wish it was a stouter bumper. Just a shell you bolt onto the winch cradle
