ipod disconnects radomly

I have a 2013 LC. I use the iPod frequently, however I have been experiencing problems with the iPod staying connected. The iPod will randomly disconnect. Sometimes while playing a song or after the vehicle has been turned off. On some occasions the song will start to play at a fast pace. I have taken it back twice to the dealer. They reset something to zero, cleared something else and the bottom line is that it still is not fixed.

Is anyone else having this problem or has had this problem fixed. I am using the same iPod that was in my 2011 LC which gave me no problems, not once in 2 and 1/2 years. Thank you, Rey

The same thing happens to me as well. Sorry I don't have an answer, but I'd like to see if anyone has a solution as well.

Have you tried a new or different cable? Cables can develop tiny breaks internally that can lead to those kinds of issues.

Apple cables are best as they seem to have higher quality standards.

Ah, good point...mine is an old school apple cable.

I'd second trying a new set of cables first, I've had phone charging issues with cables that werw yanked around. Also not sure if this would affect toyotas but bmw has had warning lights go off and multiple codes thrown due to "cheap/knockoff" phone chargers and cables as they draw off too much current from the cigarette lighter, just a heads up as this can cause random electrical faults across the car

Yes I have tried changing cables, changing iPods and even using my iPhone 6. None of these stopped the disconnect. Interestingly no problems on my sons 2012 4 runner or my 2011 LC that I sold to buy the '13 LC.
