I have been using it. I use it to mount my cell phone. Impossible to remove the phone until I press on the V-Dock.

Does the brkt intrude into the passenger space? It's hard to tell, but I don't want my wife or kids hitting their knees on it.

I ordered one, will post when I get it installed. Shipping is VERY slow from them.

Thanks. Nowadays, I just assume stuff is shipped out pretty much within a few days.

Yes. I have one and took it out a day after install - will hit knees and could be nasty in an accident.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'll be looking into another option. I busted up my right knee cap smashing it into the dash after hitting a hydro pole when I was younger.

I have this today:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A2AEEGE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Simple and cheap, bolts right into passenger inboard bolt, and my baby boy (6'4") doesn't touch his legs. What I dont like is it shakes or vibrates too much for my liking, since you have a longish bending tube holding the ipad. And the iPad does sit too low for my liking. I will try the padholder once it gets here (they shipped it on a donkey from Oregon I guess) and see if it indeed hits any knees. I ordered it with a 6" arm, so might be able to bend it worse case.

I'm looking at the IPad mount from podholder.com and was wondering if anyone has any recent experience with it.

The only thread I could find was this one.

Here you go....same thing but 25% cheaper after you add it to your cart.

Did you get the holder also or just the mount?

I like the mount but the holder for the ipad mini is pretty bulky.

The donkey with padholder hasnt arrived yet. That has been my only issue with them. Rock sliders from Oregon arrived faster! Got those yesterday. Will take photos once I get it all installed.

I picked up an Otterbox case last night from Target. They are closing up shop in Canada, so price was decent - CAN$75.00 incl taxes. After probably over analizing where to put this damn thing, I think that I have decided to rest my iPad on the dash just in front of the center vent and clock using a RAM mount attached to the window.

Well I ordered the dash mount for my 80 and gx470 from panavise. Shipping costs are ridiculous.

I plan to mount a ball to both mounts and use an ipad cradle/arm from ram. I just gotta go through what ram parts I already have to see what I need to order.

Should have shopped around. Quite a few places sell the panavise stuff and usually all at pretty close to the same price. I'd imagine some places are cheaper to ship.

I received the Ram mount today. The quality seems to me to be a little less than desired. There are ten very small philips head screws used to attach the ends to the main body. I ended up stripping one of the screws after having to remove them when one of the end caps would not seat properly. According to the instructions the two end caps are supposed to be the same, but the small dimples on the back were different. I also find that the iPad with Otterbox case rattles around a bit once inside the holder, but it should be an easy fix with some extra foam. I really like the location, and the size of the iPad is perfect for viewing maps.

In case anyone was wondering, this is what I ordered.
