I have 2 Black and Decker 400W Inverters (#PI400AB), I got them for the two vehicles going down to OBX to power laptops and other stuff. This inverter comes with a cig adapter and battery clamps.
One works just fine, the other doesn't power a thing.
The Orange LED shows up, what does this mean? I've tried switching the cig connectors, no dice, and opened it up to check the fuses, both 25amp fuses fine. Any idea?

Read the instructions and also read up about True Sine Inverters. These aren't good for charging up electronics using rechargable batteries. Particularly NmH and also not a good idea for laptops

Yea, they suck, and the decades I've been doing both without trouble are proof of it.

A True Sine Wave inverter would be a great luxury if you can afford one. Otherwise that little beauty will work just fine. The transformers in battery chargers and laptop power supplies will smooth out the rough edges of the A/C signal. I don't know if I'd plug in an expensive desktop computer PS into one...
