when I bought my 94 80, it already had an inverter in back. It's fairly small has a 110 outlet, cig outlet and a couple USB plugs. All I can see is 1.7 amp, 4 watts. That doesn't seem like much power. Is it worth keeping? I know nothing about electrical. Thanks.

A couple of pictures of the unit would help. Not sure how 1.7A and 4 watts relates to anything, i.e. is it input, output, phase of the moon etc etc?

cheers,
george.

If you have a use for it, then leave it. If not remove it. It's up to you. It's a cheapo B&D rebranded generic inverter - lots of them around for $30 - $40.

cheers,
george.

If nothing else the other outlets are handy. I'll have to look at some of my tools and see if they are under the wattage demand. My fluorescent shop light with 20 foot cord will work.

I would be careful what you plug into that thing. The cheaper inverters like that don't have the cleanest wave patterns for the 120V AC output, some electronics won't like it. TVs, computers, stuff like that.
