Hello All,
My name is Dave Moore and I'm the proud new owner of "Wilbur", a 1973 FJ55. Not totally new to LC's as I had a '75 FJ40 back in the mid to late '80's. It was a beast of a beach truck, but I've always wanted an "Iron Pig". Wilbur is going to be my beach and surf fishing vehicle. I won't go in to all of the work the seller did over the last 3 years, yet, but Wilbur is solid as a rock drivetrain and electrical wise. Body's not perfect, but hey, it's a beach truck. I need functionality and dependability, not beauty. I am having a bit of a cooling problem, but Wilbur came from MA and will need some other upgrades to survive in this 100 deg South TX heat. We'll get into that later as well. Just wanted to introduce myself and hope you guys and gals don't mind the occasional question while I get Wilbur ready for beach life. Looking forward to talking to you.
Thanks!!
Dave
