Hello to all here @ IH8MUD. My name is Rusty Suor. I live in Kalispell MT. In March my wife and I flew down to Newport Beach CA and bought our second Lexus, a 1-owner 2001 LX470. Normally I would not buy a vehicle of that age, except these things have an impeccable reputation, and being madly in love with my LS430 - if it were a woman and I was single, I'd marry her. So, I bought another Lexus. When I bought it, I didn't anticipate getting involved in a forum, however, after perusing IH8MUD(, I like it, tons of great info, and it appears lots of (good)people that are willing to share what they know -awesome! and, I don't know 'jack' about LX470s. This is why I decided to get (moderatley))involved. So just a little about myself and my rig. I'm a Barber in Kalispell, Mt., married 32 yrs. I have a 2001 LX470 in Artic Blue w/Brown interior, Dissent Fr. bumper(powder coated to match body color), Rhino Roof Rack, RIGD spare tire carrier with ROTO PAX, 18" Wheels(gonna swap 'em out). It has a few miles on it, but really clean and a looong service history. After severe car crash, resulting in a totaled car, so I bought a 1-owner 2002 LS430. Having only owned 1 Toyota(mid 80s truck, a beater), I could say I've never owned a Japanese car. So, here I am an owner of two Lexus'. Gonna use LX for Hunt/Camp trips, so it'll not be a pavement queen. Plans for upgrades underway. Thanx for having me here.
