 impressive, I will stick to orange rust primer...

The dome fuse is the first to check, the dome light comes on by adding ground from the door switches.
In my HJ the rear hatch light can be switched on/off/and something:hhmm:, but I dont see a switch in the rearhatch>maybe later I can "steal" ground from the doors.

The rest only switches on with the lights on,
interior tights:hhmm: :you mean you have special clothes while driving?

Dude post up some more info on the audio system without a radio. This is interesting to me as I almost never turn on the radio (same with the wife) as we are either listening to our iPods or Pandora.

Hey Matt, great to see it all coming together. I had no idea you were going to do the two-tone thing, love it, you should put a tiny red pin stripe between the two colors.

Is it some kind of coating or just a grey paint? It looks super-close to the grey we had painted on our old body, what paint code is it?

I miss our grey body...
Not the rust, just the color.

it's the same grey Al's liner. I went low budget and got the stock off the shelf grey. I wanted to save the money for cool wagon gear stuff!

For anyone looking for FJC steelies I was able to buy 5 from my local stealership for $125. They said that they were just sitting around because the local FJC buyers all wanted "fancy" rims and the steelies were extra. You will need spacers but if your not going to be wheeling super hard it's worth it.

tat2matt: Is that scoring into your rotors? They LOOK bad if that is the case....

Yeah that's another can of worms. I had one calliper that was sticking ( as seen in the pictures) so it was a bad night of rebuilding a caliper by moonlight. It's good to go but I haven't had the rotor turned.

Matt - been a long time since you have updated us on Ann-Marie.. I know you were talking about possibly moving to CA in a thread a while back but what happened?

Well the truck is sitting in the driveway in Iowa covered in snow. I haven't driven her much because of the salt on the roads. I go out and start her regularly but that's about it. We are going to be heading out west by July. My wife is working on a transfer and I'm working to another business model. We are searching for property in the lake Orville area chico possibly. I'm thinking about shipping the truck our to Georg to have a few things tweaked and ready when i get there. For now were in Florida on the way to go fishing!

LOL.. well good to hear that things are shaping up for you. Georg is a good guy and the Chico area (rurals) are beautiful and you are close to just about any type of poison you could wish (mtn biking, snow sports, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, hunting, etc. etc. etc.).

great looking rig man. its coming along nicely. i really like the liner for the paint two tone cruisers are awesome, and having it lined makes it more durable as well as looking utilitarian. keep up the great work man.

So today I was able to play in the shop for a few hours and made a new roof rack. The main rack is 1x1 aluminum with 1x2 supports where the rack attaches to the roof. I will likely run it all summer and then go back and fix any broken welds before painting or powder coating. I am really new to welding and this was my first attempt at welding aluminum but I'm pretty happy with the results and it will hold the RTT nicely.
