Southeast Overland
Get lost! Go explore!
Howdy everyone!
I want to introduce Southeast Overland (SEO). We are an expedition, exploration and cartography company located in Seneca, South Carolina which is approximately half way between Charlotte and Atlanta. We provide overland merchandise for sale including Trasharoo, QuickFist and Baja Rack products on our website at www.SoutheastOverland.com. We have several vendors we are currently working with to bring more products online - this will include roof top tents, vehicle awnings, cargo containers and cargo restraints, lighting and first aid kits. We will open our retail location as soon as we have enough merchandise in stock and we will be sure to make that announcement here.
In addition, we offer overland and off road travel planning and support services. Our maps (under the company name Two Springs) have appeared in several issues of Toyota Trails and we have produced numerous maps for private clients. Southeast Overland provided mapping of Beasley Knob ORV Area along with an overland route of Forest Service roads in northern Georgia for the Southern Appalachian Expedition in November of this year (2010) - both of these maps are available at our website. All of our maps are generated within a professional GIS (Geographic Information System) so they are fully customizable. We will be publishing more maps very soon, along with Google Map interfaces. If there is anything specific you would like to see please let us know!
I grew up hiking, camping, backpacking, kayaking and exploring the woods and backroads of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. SEO is a realization that I want to spend more time in the outdoors and less time behind a computer. Please keep an eye out for us at events around the US.
If you have a second please check out an article on a trip we took to the UP Overland 2010 trek across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in August. A sneak peak at the Toyota Trails article is available online at TLCA : Toyota Trails, Nov/Dec 2010.
Here are a couple pics of our vehicles. We have a 1976 FJ55 which also has an article in the Nov/Dec issue of Toyota Trails, and a 2007 FJ Cruiser.
At the Trollhole Cruisers Parts Swap
Scouting for the 2010 Southern Appalachian Expedition
At the 2010 UP Overland trip
Out looking for trouble after a snow (yes, it snows in South Carolina!)
Thanks!
