Hello all! New to the forum. Just bought my wife a 2005 Land Cruiser with only 70k miles! Overall/mechanically it is in great shape, just has a few 20 yr old car problems that need attending to (door locks, muffler, stereo, sunroof, etc…). Here to learn about all the LC 100 series nuances and fixes. Not new to the Toyota world, I already have 2001 3rd Gen 4Runner that I’ve completely gone thru and built up.

The LC muffler is rusted and has a hole in the side. Looking to replace it soon.

Has anyone on here run the BRExhaust LC replacement exhaust from MagnaFlow? Not looking for anything loud. Just getting back to the OE sound.

Cheers!

those walker cheap exhaust will rot out in a year or two if you expose it to salt. Get yourself a stainless steel one and they fare a lot better. Mines been 5 years and still good

Yeah… it spent the last year in MN. Luckily the frame is all good tho!
My 07 has spent the last 4 years in MN. Original muffler. 269k miles.

My guess is that truck was short tripped a ton and never got really warmed up.

Go OE with the muffler when there is a sale, like has been mentioned.

The OE is a heavy, substantial item when compared with the aftermarket versions I looked at. Definitely seems to be more to it.
Be sure to swap the harmonic dampener to the new one if you go OEM.
