A friend got a great deal on a 1999 100 series with 152K on the odo, from another friend. We had done a bit of work before the transfer: ARB front/rear bumpers, OME suspension, Destination M/Ts sanblast/paint rims. All maintenance was up to date and drove like a champ.
Good to go then? Not even close. Let's get to work on the list:
Winch-Smittybilt X20 10K
Paint (Al's Liner)
Dual batteries - Slee tray, Blue Sea Systems, Sears Platinum
Refrigerator - Edgestar 43 qt
Drawer system/Fridge slide - custom drawers, Tembo Tusk slide
Sliders - Slee with steps
Skid plates - Slee steel 3 pieces
Stereo/CB - Clarion and Cobra
Bumper swingouts - ARB tire and fuel
Fuel can carrier - 3 can carrier
Snorkel - Ironman
LED lighting - PFran
Ultragauge
Roof rack - TBD
Air compressor
We named it JOE as in GI JOE. Now sporting a great OD green Al's liner coat.
More pics to follow.

JOE Upgrades

We went with the Smittybilt X20 10K winch up front. Small fab job for the control box. Also used Slee's dual battery tray and Blue Sea Systems battery controller. Aux electrics are regulated with two resettable circuit breakers. Ultragauge fit nicely on the driver side A pillar.

JOE Continued

We built a custom box in the back using the Tembo Tusk fridge slide and an Edgestar 43 qt. Fridge. Drawer moves on teflon furniture glides.

JOE Continued

We mounted the Viair onboard system where the spare used to ride. Control is via a switch visible to the left of the Fridge (with pressure gauge). We mounted air outlets on both sides under the body next to the sliders. Pictures are of initial installation. I removed edges under compressor and secured all wiring and air tubes away from exhaust and to minimize snags.

Nice, congrats! I strangely like the OD Green liner, very military-esk (if that's a word). :D Defiantly a fan of that CB location. Keep it up!

Holy S***T!!!

That's exactly the look I'm considering for my old 98 LX. I am thinking Plasti dip in OD green but since this truck probably won't be going anywhere for a long long time I might as well paint it.

Nice work BTW; loving all the mods.

I'd really love to see some more pics of Joe

Of course if mine was river rock I wouldn't be considering a change. Anyway nice job.

I really like the idea of having a pressure gauge mounted on your rear side panel. Very well build with nice features. Keep it up!
