Welcome Tom, sounds like a nice LC great color for AZ - I just bought a 97 with 40K on it :) See you at one of the meetings or on the trail!
Nice '97.. I was on the prowl for a 40th edition when I stumbled on the '95, couldn't resist. I'll be soon posting pics out there. I couldn't help to notice that you and I share another thing in common... Macs! I do Video and media on the side with the Dual 2Ghz G5...

Hey, did you upgrade the exhaust system or just put on a new muffler. Which one did you put in there? Love the dual tip.

Cool - I am also a big FCP user ( since v.1) along with Pro-Tools and all things Mac :) We will have tons to talk about when we hook up!

The pipes and everything else is all previous owner stuff - soon to be trail ready once I finish my Tacoma...

Hey everyone, my name is Robert and I live in Chandler. I have very shiny 100 :) ... which saw real dirt for the first time last weekend up the Montana Mountain trail (Queen Valley Road/FR174/FR650).

I have added the OME suspension (Slee diff drop) and some 33" BFG's. I am looking to expand cruiser owner friends (currently at zero). I would like to join in on a venture or just chit chat at one of your Sonic meetings. I current go out with my cousins husband Karl (in his heavily modified Kia ... yes I said Kia, see pic below). I like wide moderate runs with overnights. I am still gonna try to keep the paint job on the 100 glossy :)

Welcome to the board! That Kia looks like it does a little wheeling.

I recently bought a '78 FJ45 that was imported from Costa Rica. It is pretty stock now with a bit of body cancer and my goal is to get it back to a stock rig.
Hey Brian, I think I may have seen your 45 tooling around Flag once. If yours was the one I saw ... nice!!

I guess I should do the formal introduction in this thread...

"My name is Cody, and I have a problem..."

(wait...wrong forum....or IS IT?!?!?) :flipoff2:

Anyways, I was in the market for something of SUV cargo room, could pull a small trailer, extra seats for passengers when needed, and looked nice, drove nice, was reliable, etc.

Basically everything someone could want all balled up into 1 vehicle.

I browsed around and found that the Land Cruisers were pretty reliable and quite capable, so after deciding that a 100 series might be too pricey to want to drag across some rocks we began to look at the 95-97 FZJ80s.

Most local vehicles for sale were all 91-92's and since I was going to be occasionally towing, I didn't want the weaker of the available engines.

Found a like new 97 LX450 without lockers, but the color looked great and the truck was quite impressive condition wise. The odometer reads 135k miles, but I've never had a car with over 100k miles run and ride as smooth. The engine bay was immaculate, and not just dealer steam cleaned - no leaks, no dirt and grease everywhere - quite well maintained. :princess:

I got the dealer (Ideal Cars in PHX) to swap out a missing center cap from another LX they had, and also they gave me the towing receiver and wiring from the other LX. Now I just gotta work on gathering and installing the mods like 2.5-6" lift, snorkel, cargo rack, ARB bumper w/winch, etc.

Here's a current pic:

Welcome CodyRx7! Nice rig.

hi everyone -

i have been reading and posting on here for awhile now, but never formally introduced myself to the board. been meaning to get my membership started up, but was waiting until the new year so i didnt have to pay the full price for just a couple of months (but now i see that the fare structure has changed anyway so i should just do it :) ). i really want one of those slick t-shirts.

anyway, i have a 1972 fj40 that i am completely rebuilding. bought it from a guy in avondale who bought it a few years back hoping to make a project out of it, but never had the time. i started a build-up thread in the 40 section in case any body wants to check it out:

https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=69741

otherwise, just wanted to say hi and *thanks* for all of the info and help i have received here.

Welcome and thanks for the introduction - I have been lurking on your thread - that is some fine work!

Catch you on the trail soon

Welcome Cody, good to have another LX in the club. I'll probably meet you at the Tip Top run this weekend.

Nice to meet you all on the Tip Top run.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Brian
I met some of you this past weekend at the Tip Top run and wanted so say thanks for letting me and my Land Rover come along!
I thought you were all such a great group of people that I'd check out the web site and meet the rest of the group.
Thanks again for a fun ride!
I look forward to meeting up with you all again.

Hi Brian...

I was the guy with the bone-stock Silver Lexus that somehow made it through the trail...
