Looks good! Pretty nice with those bumpers on it. Can't wait to see it lifted!

Nice pick up

locked and relatively low miles - welcome, hope to see you on a fall trail run witht he CSC group.

Hang on to the old fan clutch. They can usually be rebuilt.

Thanks all. Yes it was a pretty good find. I probably wouldn't have ever been able to do the bumpers so it was nice finding one complete. I would like to trail sometime but it all depends on funds and if I can get this thing PM'd with the lack of funds...at the moment. Overspent my budget on this rig but well worth it I think. I'm hoping to get it out to Tools just to have a look at it.

I broke down the old clutch yesterday. The oil in it was clean looking, bronze/gold color but extremely thick and sticky. Stuck it out in the sun and got it nice and hot to drain out. I'll pick up some hobby shop gear oil soon.

Glad to be a part of the addiction (used to it as the Foxbody Mustang realm is the same way, just putting than one on hold).

Nice score, I hope you enjoy it.

BTW, good to see you have a sense of humor. You'll need it around this crowd.;p

I am a new member, but not so new to the FJ's. I have a '67 FJ40. I've been wanting to reach out to do some runs. Would love to tag along one of these days.

Welcome! When the weather cools, usually there are runs posted ahead of time. Youll want to check in often, sometimes runs post up last minute as well.

Hope to see you and your rig at the monthly meet Sept 21st. There is a thread that tells about the meet if you havent already read it.

Tell us about your 40....got any pictures you can post?

Very nice! I would love to head out! My 40 is a '67 3 speed with a '76 F2 out of a 45. Purchased it in Nov of last year. I got a great deal on it! Just needed some tlc. The electrical was a mess. Went through the whole rig with new electrical, wheels and BFG KVM2's, Rancho 9000's, new lockers and a few more odds and ends. Has hard, full soft and bikini tops, two gas tanks etc... Looking to get a wench, hi-lift jack, roof rack, and rear bumper w/ tire carrier and cooler rack. Has a little rust around the edges, but I kinda like it. haha Pics to follow... This is my 10th post.

Nice, welcome!

... Looking to get a wench, ...

Some care is needed in that decision. Some like to wheel, others just whine, like to sit home, most like to spend lots of $$$.:hillbilly:

Plan to take running boards off and lift. Wife said leave them on for kids (10 and 5). The great news is she loves it too, she will have one of her own someday.

Welcome!! And hope to see you at the next meeting. Just an FYI my kids (6 and 5) do just fine getting into a 6" lifted LX with 37" tires, so they will be fine;) Slee step sliders can be a help, but kids LOVE climbing

... I guess I'll have to pick up on the forum lingo. ...

Don't think it is unique to this forum, definitions:

Winch; a mechanical pulling device with a spool of rope. Mostly used as a decoration/ballast.

Wench; female, often young, sometimes referring to a prostitute.
