What an intro...

Nice! I introduce myself while talking and totally screw it up. :o

1. We are engaged to be married

2. We are new to Cruiser's and are looking to hook up with local people for 4x4 rides/events

3. Melissa thinks I am now engaged to the Cruiser and not her since I am either under my rig or on here

Hope that clears things up. I was talking while typing and in a rush to go out and finish bleeding the brakes on the Cruiser. My apologies for the confusing post.

Tony

Welcome Tony - it was nice to meet you the other day.

QUICK NOTE - stay far away and DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH COLT HOTTINGER aka VULTURE MINE CRUISERS who is currently based out of WICKENBURG, ARIZONA.
Please share this will all of your Cruiser buddies. I and several other IH8MUD members got burned by this guy. His eBay seller name is "coyotepopper". We will keep looking out for him, and you should too.

Best of luck with your Cruiser! :)

Well I got my brakes bled and now I tore the power steering out, ALL of it. I am rebuilding the pump and installing a new cooler and all new lines. Then I am fixing the oil pump cover leak. :meh:

Then I will be able to go for a ride next time you guys go!! :wrench:

Tony, when you do, you should drag along your friend Blake, I'm sure he wants to get the 4runner out and test the new suspension, tires, and that rear locker. I like that he deflared it - looks good.

I think you guys have me confused with someone else unless I am missing something. I have not met anyone in person yet and I do not know who Blake is. ;-)

Is there someone else named Tony who you guys just met?

sorry, my bad - wrong Tony. The whole handle vs name thing....:meh:

lol... no problem, I thought I was missing something. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hello everyone! My name is Laurence and while somewhat new to MUD, I already know a good number of you from other forums (AZFJ, Expedition Portal) and various events I have attended. My better half and I have an 07 FJ Cruiser and just last month we picked up an 02 UZJ100. We love wheeling, camping, hiking, exploring, and most things outdoors. I have been spending lots of time in the 100 Series section of MUD and thought it was about damn time I make my way over here and post. For those of you (LandCruiserPhil, re_guderian) whom have already helped me out a bunch, thanks! I look forward to getting to know a few more of you and hitting a trail or two.

Welcome, you have a leg up on me as I have not meet anyone in person yet.

Hello, last few years on Ih8mud and never seen Coppper state Cruisers. Currently have a 69 FJ40 that has had a brake booster update, Rebuilt stock six and all the metal work is done on the body. Much more to do but at least i can drive and enjoy the desert. I am lucky 2 blks away and i have lots of area to four wheel. Nothing to hard but its great to get out whenever i want. My first car, back in 79, was a 71 FJ40. I LOVED that ol beast. Lost it to a rollover, thx to a VERY drunk driver. There was nothing to save, even cracked the block. After weeks in hospital, i was ready to enter the Looney bin after the loss of my pride and joy :) Well 4 yrs ago my 69 showed up on craigs list, and very happy to see all the Info, venders ETC. Anyway, i have been looking for a club near or close to me. Any info anyone could offer about Copper State Cruisers would be great!! Thx for taking the time to read, Pat Tuscon, AZ

Welcome, Pat. There are a few of us in the Tucson area. We let the Phoenix guys be the "official" ones with their "business" meetings at "Sonic".

a.mus.ed: You should really think about dragging your carcass up to the Sonic "gawk-and-talk" once in a while. At least once a year for good measure! I know your GPS works at as far north as Florence :flipoff2:.

ptscustomwork: Wow what a great LC story - I can only imagine what couldve happened if you were driving anything less than a framed 40!:frown::eek:

Congrats on being "reconnected" to the LC world. I can see you feel good to be back in your element  Welcome

My intro

Hello. A.mus.ed shared a link to your group and I'm glad he did. I live in Mesa and have an '85 FJ60 that I drive daily and am -- time and money permitting -- fixing up. I just had a Saginaw p/s pump swapped in and am dealing with unexpected smog vacuum issues. My dad is a decent mechanic and is going to have a look at it in a few weeks when my folks come to visit, but if that doesn't work out, I might try to hire somebody here to help me desmog this thing. I'm horrible at mechanical stuff and wouldn't trust myself to follow threads on desmogging.

Anyway, I'm glad to have found out about you guys and I look forward to getting to know you. I use my truck for daily driving, work, and going camping. Not really into hard-core off-roading, just getting to where I want to be.

I attached the last picture of my truck, at Chaco Canyon about a month ago. I have since lifted it 2 inches and it'll soon have a winch.

Welcome - the meeting is this Friday at sonic Broadway / Rural - looking forward to meeting you all!

Wish I could make it. Hit a pothole yesterday. Truck is shaking real bad now. Have to find a good shop to have repaired. Will definitely make it to next meeting,though...
