Hola and welcome to the group!

Compared to the motley crew you met on the trail, the rest of us are pretty tame. Hope to see you at the next meet, and post some pics. We all like to look at cruiser porn.:D

Hey all,

Reviving a slumbering thread with my introduction.

I'm Gavin and have a '91 FJ80.

The family and I just moved back to Flagstaff from L.A. after being gone for 5 years.

I've seen a few Mud folks around Flag in the past few days, hope to hit the trails or turn a wrench with ya in the future.

:cheers:Welcome !

Hello, I got a 1991 fj80 not too long ago. I am going to start upgrading soon and I hope to be out on the trails very soon.

Robert

Maybe some of you folks know me. Most don't.

I'm a web wheeler with a wannabe FJ40 buggy thingie under construction:

I'll actually be wheeling in about a year or so.

Till then I'm just going to act like I go wheeling, on the net. :)

HOLY Triangulation! Looks good...can't wait to check it out. Welcome.

anybody that owns two or more millers is gonna fit right in :hillbilly::wrench:

That rig looks like it means business! Looking forward to seeing you and the 40 in action.

Welcome Doc! Do you still have the FJC?

... Funny story there... the short answer is "no".

After having sold my wife's mommy wagon for the parts carrier/tow rig for THAT thing ^ she eventually rejected being forced to drive the kids around in a full sized Tundra while I drove my cool FJC. I caved and sold it for another mommy wagon. She drives a Highlander now, and I've got the Tundra... and I'm tinkering as fast as I can.

The even funnier epilogue is that a month or two after I traded it in, a guy joined the AZFJ board after he ended up buying my old rig at a Chevy dealership. Now the rig is back wheeling with my friends... without me.

Read this thread on the FJC board to see me spill my guts about being a jerk to my wife:

With Heavy Heart - Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum

Read this thread on the AZFJ board to see my surprise when the rig rejoins the group with a new owner:

AZFJ Forums Arizona FJ Discussion General Discussion Newbie with questions, looking forward to meeting everyone!

It actually all works out pretty cool. I really like the guy who bought her. He's going to be fun to have around.

That's a great story. I like the part about the dealer assuring the new owner that it had never been off-road.

Hey guys,

Ali here from ABQ, NM and I'm very proud to say that I've converted yet another former LR owner to a LC 80 series owner :bounce: Some of you may recall few years back during a Sonic meet N greet, I brought with me Dave and his son from Gilbert. I think that may have been about four or five years ago. Ever since that I've been slowly working him and FINALLY he picked up a very nice unit from Ebay (Mesa) this week. Hopefully he'll chime in here and introduce himself.

Off to find me another one.....:D

New owner - Converted by Ali

Yes, I am a proud new owner of a '97 Collectors edition. I have been lusting after LCs for the past 7 or so years. Have taken a similar route as Ali, owning several Land Rovers (Range Rover, Discovery, Series II 109, Series II 88) for about 14 or so years. What can I say, some people are slow learners!

Not to sound too religious, but this whole sale of my ’98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 and purchase of the LC 1 week later was undoubtedly due to a good deal of prayer and humility, being willing to seek advice and follow it, selling the Jeep without having a replacement!

Anyway, the new LC is naturally, AWESOME! Diff locks, Custom front bumper with Warn XD9000i winch, Kaymar rear bumper and tire carrier, 3” OME lift with 2” spacers, Slee sliders, Reinforced rear trailing arms, Adjustable F/R panhard rods, Slee front control arms that correct for the lift, Double cardon front drive shaft, Adjustable rear upper control arm links, Repositioned sway bar mounts front and rear, Toyota OEM 4.56 ring and pinion gears to compensate for BFG 315/75R16 tires, Toyota center diff-lock switch, Toyota manual throttle control switch, Painless headlight wiring harness to brighten headlights, Toyota dashboard cupholder, Kenwood stereo and Boston speakers, Dynamat under floor, Drivers seat rebuilt, well maintained.

I haven’t taken any pics yet, but will post when I do. Here's one from the seller:

Welcome aboard guys!

Welcome to both! :flipoff2: I just love the 97 Collectors editions. Sounds you spent the time and got a really nice set up rig.

Gotta post pictures up (multiples please) of your new rig. Congratulations!

I love his '97 color, it's really cool. I have a 40th anniv as well. Hopefully someday we'll be able to join you guys in an adventure. If any of you are heading my way, give me a shout out.

ali
