I guess I will go first ;)
From Morro Bay Have lived there since the early eighties. X surfer construction Dude Man that raised two beautiful children on the Central Coast.

I have a 93 FZJ80 a bit on the extreme side low lift on 39s with all the goodies to make make them work, but well still drive down the Highway at 75 MPH.

I enjoy extreme rock crawling think Fordyce trail, Sand Hollow, Johnson Valley, to name a few. At the same time I also like a nice trail ride through high peaks of the San June Mountains.

I also Like just sitting around the Camp fire and talking about the days trail run or anything Land Cruiser or off road !!

Grew up in the Santa Cruz mountains, but moved to Santa Cruz proper for a better family social life. Spend my spare time throwing disc golf and running tournaments.

Our 1997 LX450 has been in the family for a dozen year. It was purpose built for rocky Sierra trails, but it’s not as capable as Broski’s rig. It’s more of a mix between rock crawler and overlander.

I haven’t driven the Rubicon yet, but it’s on the bucket list. I’d like to get a group together to join Rubithon. Also interested in driving Barrett Lake and Slick Rock. Like Broski, I enjoy driving the gorgeous southwestern Colorado trails with the Solid Axle Summit gang.

You can probably guess where I am at, couldn't think of a clever username at the time! I have lived in the area on and off for the past 10 years or so; just moved back last year after my wife finished grad school in Iowa. We just bought a 2008 Land Cruiser from another mud user last week. We have a 3 month old, and I am looking forward to taking her on some adventures in the cruiser as she gets a little older. I am hoping to build it out some more in the meantime, probably more towards an overlanding rig.

We also have a Tacoma, and I've had a few opportunities to take it off the pavement in Moab.

I’m Ben from Monterey, I’ve lived here for the last decade or so but grew up in the sierras. I’ve got a FJ62 with a Ls as my daily driver and a 1982 BJ42 that is drivable on most days. I look forward to hanging out with you guys when ever we can.

I grew up in 17th ave. Went to Green Acres, Del Mar and Soquel High. I have a 93 with a modest 2" and planning to move up to 315. 3x lock but a newbie. Only done modest trails like Corral Hollow, Mojave and Death Valley.
Would love to do outings with others 80s and learn from other owners.

We live in Willow Glen, but we're in Santa Cruz pretty often, usually MTBing at Demo Forest or UCSC/Wilder, or drinking at Crow's Nest.

Bone stock 80 that's our daily driver. The pic is the Financial District in San Francisco.

And a needs-work SOA 40, needs rear heater lines, PS bleed and a smog check. It runs and drives otherwise. The top is not so nice as this pic now that it's 10yo.

What’s up fellow Cruzers. Chris here. California native. Lived in Santa Cruz the last 15 or so years of my life. Currently living in Felton. Always up for a trip, driveway hangout or day trip or mtb rip.

Joined MUD when I started building my first 80. That truck has taken me and my family to some amazing places since. Next trip plans are to run the Rubicon, Black Rock Desert, Oregon Desert and BDR, Alaska and Baja and the Rockies. Have yet to do any of those.

Hi, I live on the Westside of SC and have been an IH8MUD member for a long time but not on here often. I enjoy “overlanding” but hate that term. I had an 80 back in the ‘90’s and 2000’s, and then sold to another guy on this site who’s modded it extensively and has now owned it for almost 15 years. Under my watch, our 80 did the Rubicon, Poughkeepsie Gulch, Slickrock Trail and Corral Trail off Hwy 4 many times. Now I have a stock 3rd gen Tacoma which is a daily driver and has been on milder trails in the Sierra, Moab, and Death Valley.

Seems kinda quiet in here but I'll post anyway. Just picked up an '08 200 Series and still in the 'getting to know' you phase....already did the wheels and working on the grille.

Any recommendations for a good local shop for jobs above my pay grade? I'm headed to the SC dealer for a basic oil service just as a little test, but it's been a long time since I went to one for work (hopefully there won't be problems).

Welcome to the club house
Thanks for posting this Club house needs more ACTION

I figure I'd jump start our local forum.....
Slowly been debating what my build should be. Part time wheeler with 37s or more of an "exploring rig". Decided to just stick with 35s and be a camping rig.
When opportunity came to Turbo my 80 OBD1, I jumped at the chance and is now at Cruisers and Company getting some boost. Once I get it back, its going to be shown at our local club "Norcal Bay area Land Cruisers" meets we usually do once in a while.
Come and check it if Turbo is in your plans.
