Well,

I've owned two 80's and just picked up a BJ70 for my wheeler as my wife loves the new 80 and despite it having lockers she doesn't want a lift and winch on it yet. I just picked up this 70 for our off road camping trips, fishing and wheeling. She can keep the 80. Like they say happy wife, happy life.;)

Bummer, you grabbed that (for me). I saw that listed up in Vancouver. If you don't mind my asking, what did you wind up getting it for? You know, just to kick myself for not snatching it fast enough

Very nice.

Bullbar, lift, and it looks like it's in good shape.

How do you find the "lack or power" compared to the 80?

They are 2 different trucks that really can't be compared in my opinion. I love my 70, with stock tires it seems to click along very well, I can cruise at 110-120 confortably, but bigger tires will slow it down with those gears. The 80's are made for comfort.

I've never been short or power with a 3b offroad though - they always make it to the destination.

The 70 is still more comfortable than my old Defender 110. Why the hell didn't Rover put air seats in those back breakers. The 80's are cushy but very capable with the lockers.

Q Why didnt Rover do a lot of things?

A Too many devoted owners who kept going back because of the legend and too many guaranteed defence contracts.

very nice:D looks real tough in that colour !

it would be advisable to fit some running boards and wheel arch flares to protect your body panels from stone chips etc....

Is that a factory toyota black colour mate?

Nice 70, I bought my 70 from Justin as well - Speaking of running boards I have a nice set of custom Aqualoo running boards that came with mine and I took off when I built sliders. Been sitting in my garage for too long $100 if your interested.
