OK, I keep hearing that they are sold out everywhere. And I've obviously done a halfassed search through Google because I can't find them, anywhere.:bang::mad::bang:
Do they still exist? Where can I order one? and I'm still willing to pay the $1000 for one.

Anyone out there with some credible info?
Thanks,
Chris

I think you want to PM "alvarorb" His name is Alvaro. He is The Man.

I jsut emailed Mudrack to ask the all important questions. When will you get them in again, and can I order it myself from Venezuala? Hope I spelled that correctly.
Anyway,I'll post his answer when I get one.

Now off to PM Alvaro dosen't he own " La Cabra"?
I think I saw him a couple years back at SnT 2006.

I looked into this at one time, and it seems like there is something with the cost of importing that makes them prohibitively expensive for the american market. i could be completely wrong, but I think that was the problem

Well, just to let you all know, I've PM'd Alvaro whom, I hope I have the right one, is in Columbia. I'll let you all know what he says when and if he returns my PM.

Thanks Rob for the PM. Lets wait and see what happens.
Cheers.

I've been trying to get an INTI for my LX for a year. I've contacted Alvaro and Mudrak on several occasions. INTI is a dead issue as far as the US is concerned. Both of them are already working on other stuff. All I can hope fpr is that someone decides to sell theirs or "upgrade" to another rack. Good luck....I have feelers everywhere and my greedy little hands will get one dammit!!

I know what you mean. What other rack our there is comprabale to an INTI? It just seems that the INTI can morf into any config you may need it to. From storage roof rack, jerry can carrier to RTT carrier and it's stronger than hell. Maybe I can fly to Ven buy it and ship it home myself or buy a crap load of them, ship home and sell to MUD members. Anyone have contact information for the company?

I'll look into it.

Cheers all for your help.

No, but good luck, let us know how it works out.

Alvaro States in a PM that right now it's very dif to get anything out of Ven, however there is another MUD member sending them an email to ask the golden question. We'll back to this.
NEW QUESTIONs, SAME SUBJECT:
What is the distance between the left and right gutters across the top of the roof? If the INTI goes no further, I may be looking at a Con-Fer. Does anyone know which model fits the 60? Is there a better roof rack than then the INTI (don't think so) or the Con-Fer to carry, jerry cans, recovery gear, and a Roof Top Tent?

Thanks much.

I have a brandy new ConFer I just got from Mark's Off Road. Pretty much everything needs to be self-made for it if you want to attach stuff. Actually I think there is a hi-lift mount floating around along with the axe/shovel mount but I haven't looked really hard.

And yes, there is no better than the INTI :D

Someday....someday...

I feel like I'm sticking my hand into a fire here . . .

I've never seen one of these racks . . .

But, here goes . . .

What's so great about an INTI ?

(Rigger ducks for cover)

Hypothethically speaking, how much would an INTI "Plus" be worth out on the open market? This is an INTI, same as the ones imported by La Cabra 4x4/Mudrak, but that's been improved:
-powdercoated
-all stainless steel hardware
-lockable spare tire mount
-custom lockable aluminum box replacing the back bar
-sand ladder mounts
-hammock/tarp mount points

Located in Central TX, would not include shipping or dissassembly, would have to be picked up.

Curious, it's been hanging off the rafters of my garage for three years and I *may* be headed in a different direction with my build.

Thoughts? I'll start by saying that I expect the price would be higher than the original pricing from La Cabra, given the unobtanium status of the product.
inti on the roof.webp

What are yu asking for it? I'll drive to Texas to pic it up. Not sure when, but I could pay you for it and work out the logistics later.
zlet me know. I PMd you the same message.

Hell Exiled, I'll put the purchase of my ARB and 8274 on hold to purchase your INTI if your serious.
r I could just drive to VEN buy, install and drive it back. Let me look at a map to see how long the drive would be. I think TX would be a lot closer from SOCAL then to VEN. lol

Okay guys, you are on your way to convincing me. That IS one nice roof rack! What is it worth?

Is that a gage metal plank deck on it? Sweet!

(My wife is a hard-charging garage saler. Every once in a while, she'll call me and say that there is something for sale that I may want. I am going to tell her to keep an eye out for one of these racks. What are the odds that she'd find one?)

pretty minimal, but you never know, you might get lucky. Here is my question. If these racks are so awesomely great (and I believe they are) How come somebody hasn't stepped up and started building something that meets all of the same needs? Any of the fabrication gurus listening?

I have no FAB skillz but if someone could FAB this rack exactly like the INTI, I'd pay between $700-$800 for a great replica.
