Cool! I wonder where that picture was sourced from? Looks pretty good, though I do wonder about the rear seats, are they removeable? They did not put them as far back as in my wife's Element, this will limit rear seat leg rom, but increase rear cargo room I suppose. Still don't care for the huge C-pillar...

Ben -
I think they've advertised that the backs of the rear seats would fold forward and completely flat with the cargo area so don't know if you would need to remove them. I agree, doesn't look like a whole lot of legroom.

As a positive, it does look like the front seat is probably at it's rearmost setting (I'm short, so it wouldn't be in that position for me), and the seats do look like the seat bottoms are higer off the floor, which means less "horizontal" leg room is needed to achieve useful legroom.

For some reason this exterior picture doesnt look half bad at all....I must say its kinda growing on me.
If i sit back and picture it in a color i prefer more, a 3 inch OME, ARB, some better tires, and a snorkel.......sound kinda nice.

i think it'll grow on ya after a while when all the aftermarket stuff gets out. once it's built up and sittin on some 35's with some armor and some body damage it's gotta look sweet.

I want to see it with the 97 40th ann. 80 color...the tan color, i dont know the technical name but it would look sweet. Any body got any photoshop skills? Cause i know i dont.

I want the FJ now to replace the Outback I've been driving as my around town every day driver.

Based on the pictures there's more head room but still no leg room in the back.

But what else should I expect?

I'm trying to imagine the width of a current 4runner with more head room/interior space but shorter. I'm also trying to imagine my daughter's car seat in the back and loading her in and out. At least I woun't have kill my back bending over as I do with the Outback.

I still wish Toyota would at least sell the 70 series in the US. I would really dig a Diesel 70 Troopy 2 or 4 door!

From the photos I can tell you those are exactly 4Runner SR5 front and rear seats w/ alot more vinyl on it and different fabric design.

Man, it looks pretty cool. I wish the side glass was like the FJ40 hardtop. That huge C pillar is gonna suck in many situations.

meh, maybe somebody'll come out with a simpler dash for it too... a little too busy for me. I don't really like the accented vent or the radio area. Maybe one like a 40...

Interesting note. I remember reading that this was based on the new Taco, but I see a transfer case lever. The new Taco uses a switch.

I think it's the same as the Prado 125 (2 door Prado 120), which has a lever t-case. I think they just dropped a different body on the Prado running gear.
