4.0? I would think that anything that would fit the 4Runner would also fit the FJ Cruiser and possibly the Tacoma as well. That surely is quite a number of vehicles.

I have a gx and live in Pasadena but they would need to be road legal at some point as I've gone the other route before. even my sc 4runner was tough to smog and I had to mess with the fuel pressure reg and such. Had an rx7 with no cats too and just really long thick headers that didn't burn up.
Any updates?
I would be interested, and ok with "off road only".
Too bad SoutherSS doesn't make these. We would already have several members running them by now.
I wish 1st gen Tundra headers fit our GX. There's a Tundra member that's having a shop make custom long tube headers for them.

I will take you up on your offer for the 4runner headers if you decide to go through the development. I am in San Diego and can drop of my car for 2 weeks no problem. I have a 2006 4.7 liter limited 4runner.
We all know your headers are quality build and expect to be around 800 bucks for an American made product. Plus you will be the only people to have made 4runner 4.7 liter headers.

^^ Don't hold your breath, I doubt this will ever happen. You'd have better luck getting some members together for a group buy and have a local shop custom build them using your 4Runner.
I was contacted by Doug Thorley today. We are getting this show on the road! I didn't need to hold my breath too long.

Just know, from my and a bunch of other's experience with DT Headers for the 2UZ-FE...despite their advertising/marketing BS they DO NOT HOLD A CARB CERTIFICATE. This only applies, as of today anyway, to California customers...

i AM IN AS WELL AS LONG AS THIS IS INFACT POSSIBLE. i OWN A 2006 4.7L. i JUST HAD A WELDER AT MY PLACE TO CHECK OUT BUILDING A CUSTOM SET FOR ME. hIS COMMENTS WERE THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE FOR HEADERS, EVEN SHORTYS BUT OFFERED TO MAKE A NEW MANIFOLD OUT OF SCHEUDLE 10 SS.
Check the 100 series forum. More than a few of the round DT headers developed cracks. DT replaced them but I don't believe the labor was covered. Sucks for people who had to pay for first install, removal and reinstall. That's a lot of money.
