Here's some pics of the TEQ badges in ABS from the new printer. I will have two types. The one that is flat and can be mounted on any flat surface of your choice. (adhesive included) That will come in red and silver or black and white. I also have the TEQ emblem that mounts to the grille of an LX or Yota (95-97). Come in red/silver and black/white as well. I have already printed a good amount of all of those and will be releasing those next week. I hope to shift all my focus onto finalizing the print files for the "TOYOTA" emblems and have those released late next week as well. I'm very close to having a perfect and consistent "TOYOTA" badge. You may notice in the 1st pics that I used silicone around the hatch emblem. I just wanted to see how it looked. It's not needed, but more to see if I liked the aesthetics. The 3M auto adhesive I'm using causes the flat TEQ badge to stick out off the body about 1/32nd of an inch. I didn't like the gap so I used the silicone. the issue I ran into is that I got WAY too excited with the amount of silicone. A VERY thin bead would have been perfect. Not the fat bead I used. Lesson learned. I went with black to match the paint, but clear would have worked fine to.

Looks good. I like the smooth finish better though... even with the print lines

From the responses, emails, PM's, and personal conversations it seems like 3/4 of people like the honeycomb look and the rest like the flat look. At this point I am going with 3 designs that got the most interest. I will then begin printing the less popular designs like the TEQ badge with the flat/smooth background. All I can ask for from everyone is patience. I will eventually get to every design shown and discussed. I just need time to get through it all.

Those look great, for payment do you prefer cash or just send you diapers? Congratulations on the new baby!

Hey I'm a patient guy! Just keep us updated when you can. I mostly was thinking about cleaning the dirt out of the honeycomb design being a pain. I like the front emblem too but it'll be wasted on my truck because I plan on mounting my light bar on the underside of the top bar of the bumper which will cover up the emblem.

Lazy!

Call Me lazy, but I haven't read thru this whole thread. How do I order? Thanks.

This thread is definitely getting stupid long. They are not quite up for sale. I am REALLY close to releasing the first wave of emblems. I have finished the first batch of flat TEQ emblems, I'm in the middle of printing a batch of the front grille TEQ emblems, and will be printing the "TOYOTA" emblems later this week and all next week. I hope to have my web page up and running by the end of next week and be taking orders at that point. I will post a link to the site on this thread and over in the for sale section.

Be keen on a teq for the passenger side of my grill where the twin cam badge went.
I love your work bro and if you a can show me the badge to the right of a 94 0 earlier grill I'm a starter.

The other thing is I've done things like this before. .. In other medium s and it's very hard to make money and keep people happy

I have already realized there isn't going to be any profit in this project. I'm just in WAY too deep with money and time to just give up on it. I'm writing it off as a great learning experience and a great way to learn how to use my new printer.

If someone would loan me an earlier grille (91-94) I would be happy to make an off center mounting TEQ emblem. I just can't do anything without the grille.

Well I'm WAY overdue for an update. I have been crazy busy with work and family stuff so my free time to work on this project has been a real premium. I have continued to work on it over the last few weeks. My website build took WAY too much of my time and I realized it's not going to be ready until I finish my other designs. I decided to just go with an etsy siite and bite the bullet on all the fees. It will just be for a short time. I did have to put things on hold when I was running into heating issues with the long 12 hour prints needed for the "TOYOTA" badges. I was getting warping with that long of a print. I had to spend a week developing a ventilated and heated acrylic box with front and rear access doors. I then got a bad batch of ABS filament from my suplier which totally screwed up my machine and made me by MORE replacement parts. During all the headache I was able to get the etsy page ready to go, a large batch of the flat TEQ emblems, and a NEW prototype I think some of you are going to be excited to see. I decided to play fair and give the 91-94 guys something. I will be printig throughout the weekend now that I have my ventilated heat box done and my new parts installed. I plan to open the etsy page this coming week. I wil only be launching the TEQ badges at first. Then the TOYOTA badges will follow soon after, and then all the other emblems after that. There will be 4 options for the TEQ badges. You can order the flat TEQ badge that can be mounted anywhere flat (and comes with the 3M adhesive needed). There will also be the TEQ badges that mount to the center of the grille on the YOTA and LX. Finally there will be the TEQ badge for the 91-94 grille. Every badge will have the option of reb and sliver or black and silver. Here's some pics of the newest TEQ badge.

Thanks for the update - they're looking great. Should we look for a link on Etsy in the coming days? Looking forward and thanks again for all the great work!
