Hi guys, running a 12ht motor currently at stock 8psi of boost. I am hoping to up the boost to 13-15psi (hoping to get a high flowed turbo soon.)
My question is, would you bother running an intercooler for 13-15psi? I personally think i should then a couple of people told me they wouldn't bother then others said yes it's a must. Thanks

Yep, Lower Egt's, cooler charge temperatures means more HP. No matter the size of the cooler. Anything is better than nothing.

just don’t go too big on the piping if you go a/a intercooler or it might accentuate turbo lag. it’s just more volume you need to pressurize. but realistically any time you want to increase fuel an intercooler is good. it won’t harm anything for sure.

I just installed a large intercooler on my 1HDT with a stock turbo. My butt-o-meter says that it is a worthwhile addition to the truck. The truck is not a rocket anyways, but I really can't see that it creates a noticeable lag.
