Does anyone besides Interco make a 10.5 wide 35 " tire?
I have never used any of there products and I know alot of Mudders' have or are currently running them.
My comparison would be with BFG's Mud. I really like BFG tires, have been using them for almost 18 years but I am looking for a 35x9or10.5x15. Inparticular I am looking at the SSR 35x10.5x15. I just dont know how these are as DDers.

intercos never make good DD tires, unless you plan to drive to and fro on mud and rocks... the dont last like BFGs

No personal experience yet, but that is my thinking too. I am planning to run BFG ATs and TSLs on 2 sets of rims for DD and fun.

I have heard that some of Interco's radials aren't too bad on the road though.

they are not i have had a couple sets and my 60 has them now. they do okay just loud. bfg will get you more tread life and less noise. cant beat the ss off road though!!!!!

Thats what i was thinking but was not sure. So thats why I asked.
So what about some other company making a 35x10.5x15 ?

A Q78-15 is about 35.5" x 10.5" or 11". Have you been looking at them? (not sure if they are a common size anymore) What sizes are typical on duallies? or are the all 16" and bigger?

here is the link for the tire I am looking at.
SSR Series :: Interco Tire

those tire look cool. honestly, if i had the money to buy new meats i would buy the bfg muds. when i wear my ss thats what i will be going to. i had a set of 35's on a 3/4 dodge diesel and got 44000 miles off them. like the radials too but you can get stuck in wet grass with the radials in 2 wheel. the bfg muds are a perfect combo of street and offroad performance with great sidewalls. put a locker in the rear and they will take you anywhere you want to go.

So how many miles do you expect out of the ss?

the most ive gotten out of a set of 33 radials was 33000 on a half ton ford reg cab p/u run mostly on the road roatated every 5000. i have heard as much as 35000 on a set of 31's the only problem with ss is if your alignment is off it will eat through the soft lugs real fast. on my 60 the tires have about 70% tread left from PO with the two fronts now in the back worn on the inside shoulder about 2/3's from bad knuckle bearings. i hope to get 10 to 15 k before having to replace them.

Don't know about SSR's but...

I had a set of 34x10.5 LTB biasedply swampers. They were good meats except: They were biased so they had flat spots on cold mornings until they warmed up and they were pretty soft. The major advantage was PRICE. At like 130 a piece, they were much more economical than my 35x12.5 MTR's

speeking of interco,... anyone try there at?
yeah, i'm looking into the 34 10.5 ltb as well, they look chunky. how are they in sand, do they dig?

used to drive my truck down to the outer banks, NC when you could still drive on beach in most places and my ss did okay behind an auto except for the real soft sand where they would dig. i would have to air down to 10 or 15psi to make it through the soft stuff which brings you close to bead breaking low psi. don't know how a manual would do with the intial torque output when getting started with the ss.

Ive got the BFG MTs now, and have no real complaints with them.
4wheelparts had a killer package deal on em.
Ive run some pretty low pressures on the rocks, and have heard a lil air leaking from the bead, but thats bound to happen with anytire I suppose.
Im kinda leaning towards the TSL's SX for the next go around, but well see.
I had BFG AT's on before these, and they SUCKED! They chunked like a mofo, and they did not clear mud AT ALL, and the traction left a LOT to be desired.
It was a different world when I got the MT's and wheeled them for the first time.
