I am wanting to upgrade the brakes on my LC. Was wondering if anyone has ever upgraded to the 200 series LC, Tundra or Tacoma knuckles so that those brake systems can be used.

I'm hoping this is a serious question as this is your first post, but short answer is no. For starters, I've never heard of anyone doing a "knuckle swap". But beyond that, all of the knuckles mentioned above are designed quite differently than the 100 series knuckles. The 100 series is actually unique in it's front end is designed differently than any other series 4x4 Toyota. And let the record show the 100 series front end/brakes are much beefier than the Tacoma...

Now if you are referring to common rotor/caliper upgrade as noted on other models (4Runner), then the answer is also no. Back in the 3rd gen 4Runner world, we could upgrade to Tundra rotors and calipers for an larger-than-stock system. But the land cruisers are designed independently from the 120 series/Tundra/Sequoia, except for the 200 series which shares front end components with the Tundra.

If you're really disappointed with your brakes on your 100 series (shocking), than there are several companies who make big brake kits. Stoptech is the main one I know about, but you better be ready to pay. I believe it is $3k+ for the front kit alone. I run regular rotors and good pads with 34" tires and love the brakes on my 100 series, so I am a little shocked to hear someone think they need an upgrade.

Yes, I was serious.
Upgrading with these aftermarket kits are cost prohibitive. I knew the Tacoma was a stretch. Is there any place that would have detailed information on the differences between the 100 and 200 series front end?

As stated above, completely different design. Plus your looking at CV/hub differences, steering linkage length, etc. It would take alot of custom fab to fit any other model's front end components to our trucks, and would undoubtedly be way more than a big brake kit.

The brakes on the 100 are borderline uncomfortably grabby. Something is probably wrong with your brakes.

BTW, try an 80 series brakes for a real treat. 80 brakes suck.

Yep, agreed. My brakes grab very well, i think you need new calipers, your pistons are stuck and not giving you full braking power.

Had an 80 the brakes were on par with the available power. Both were unimpressive. Thing was an unstoppable tank.

Well the 80 series uses vacuum boosted brakes, whereas the 100 series uses a electronically boosted system. So you’re comparing apples to oranges. As stated above, I’m fully built (bumpers, armor, 34s) and my 100 series has the best brakes out of all the vehicles in my driveway (tacoma & tundra). If your currently unhappy with your braking system, then there’s probably something wrong with it. But if your living in fear that the system won’t be powerful enough once you build it, I can assure you it will be.

Did you do that on purpose? ^^ Or did Freud get to you? ;)
Not Freudian. Slow to get up to speed and slow to stop. Kind of like a tank. So think more of a metaphor and less oxymoron.
During one of the Houston floods I had water over the hood and ~4-6 inches up the windshield. Didn't even hiccup, just keep plowing through the water. Got me home safe.
