I am wanting to upgrade the brakes on my LC. Was wondering if anyone has ever upgraded to the 200 series LC, Tundra or Tacoma knuckles so that those brake systems can be used.

As stated above, completely different design. Plus your looking at CV/hub differences, steering linkage length, etc. It would take alot of custom fab to fit any other model's front end components to our trucks, and would undoubtedly be way more than a big brake kit.Yes, I was serious.
Upgrading with these aftermarket kits are cost prohibitive. I knew the Tacoma was a stretch. Is there any place that would have detailed information on the differences between the 100 and 200 series front end?
The brakes on the 100 are borderline uncomfortably grabby. Something is probably wrong with your brakes.
BTW, try an 80 series brakes for a real treat. 80 brakes suck.
Had an 80 the brakes were on par with the available power. Both were unimpressive. Thing was an unstoppable tank. The brakes on the 100 are borderline uncomfortably grabby. Something is probably wrong with your brakes.

Well the 80 series uses vacuum boosted brakes, whereas the 100 series uses a electronically boosted system. So you’re comparing apples to oranges. As stated above, I’m fully built (bumpers, armor, 34s) and my 100 series has the best brakes out of all the vehicles in my driveway (tacoma & tundra). If your currently unhappy with your braking system, then there’s probably something wrong with it. But if your living in fear that the system won’t be powerful enough once you build it, I can assure you it will be.Had an 80 the brakes were on par with the available power. Both were unimpressive. Not Freudian. Slow to get up to speed and slow to stop. Kind of like a tank. So think more of a metaphor and less oxymoron.Did you do that on purpose? ^^ Or did Freud get to you?![]()
