While i was installing the safari snorkel and removing the factory intake, i noticed that one of the ports coming off the rear of the intake box was broken off. It is the one that goes across the engine to a canister near the fuse block.

I tried to repair the brake using superglue and ABS cement, neither worked.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks as to how to fix this? It it broke off pretty much flush with the intake box.

Might try the special epoxy for plastic. Or PC7 epoxy paste or the marine grade epoxy (two part...rub it together to activate it).

I've had good luck with all three on most plastics.

Ah, yeah some epoxy.

Might give that a shot next time i am working on the Cruiser.

Any real harm in leaving that hose disconnected for a few days of driving? (even though there is no telling how long it has been off)

^^^good find!

x2
Going to see if i can possibly find anything like that at a parts store or lowes, then drill it out. If not, i'll just order it.

Thanks Hoser.

Mine broke off many years ago and I tried to epoxy it back on. During the process the epoxy filled the hole which wouldn't allow any air to pass and I got a P10## code. I ended up just shaving the area flat with the side of the plenum and tapped it so the appropriate brass nipple screwed right in with some teflon tape. I consider it better than new and I haven't had a single problem with it since.

FWIW
