Intake/Exhaust Manifold...can they..

Can they be "Hot Tanked"? I want to make sure they're super clean.

I just had them both re-surfaced to insure a good flat mounting.

If you want to go that far take them apart and strip them down then have them bead blasted. The intake will come out looking almost brand new. The exhaust will probably come out looking half decent on the outside.

I might be best then to paint them.

I see what you mean but would you maybe suggest Bead blasting it or is that also overkill?
