Hey Guys,

I'm going to have to postpone this wrenching party to a date yet to be determined.

We are swamped at work because of the recent storms and it's all hands on deck.

Thanks

Well, now that OT is done how does Feb 19th(Sat) sound? I need to get this done as it's getting worse.

Let me know...

Thanks

Okay...how about this coming Sat 3-5?

Dave said he might be able to make it.

Its not that tough it just helps too have someone help put in that heavy manifold :)

Btw, snacks and drink would be provided.

Thanks and lemme know

Dave if u can make it, can u bring ur nice Makita impact tool?

Update:

Got the stuff out but I'm in need of a few parts and was wondering if those of you that have gone V-8 have any of these Air Injection hoses laying around. Mine disintegrated when I removed it. Oh, and maybe the check valve?(#25) Mine's falling apart with rust.

I'm looking for #60 under the 8/80-8/87 Emission Systems

Thanks

#60 goes from the ABV to the air rail.

Which hose do you need in the diagram ?

Check valve is avail new, Denso, about $25. Don't know the Denso part # , but

Airtex wells is 1A3049
Toyo 90917-10057
Car Quest 73-1509

Good parts place should easily cross ref. Almost all the used ones I've gotten are bad or have really restricted flow.

edit: #60 D'oh! ... Lemme look and I can give it to Seth if I have it.

Thanks guys....I appreciate it. I think Dynosoar might have the hose and all I would need is the valve and if I have to, I'll buy it new...

One day though...I will fix all this....WITH A V-8!

Update:

Found the hose I needed. I looked in my spare parts container and low and behold, a whole ABV assembly courtesy of Mr. Manuchao. I guess he had given me these parts way back when.

Thanks Frank!

Cleaned the immediate area today and going to start to put it back together tomorrow.

If anyone ever planned on using a Remflex gasket for the intake/exhaust job...don't.

It's very hard to work with because of the considerable increase in the thickness. They say you can use your original bolts, but they're crazy. It's also very fragile and I don't like that it has no fire rings.

I'm pulling it off and sending it back. They say I can return it within six months of purchase so back it goes and good riddance!

Your mileage may very...
