Hey guys, happy new year. I have a '99 LC, I need to find out why my instrument panel lights are very dimmed:confused:, practically off. I have used the search feature, but most posts are about the "D" light problem.
Any suggestions? Thanks:cool:

I am sure you have turned the dimming dial up to full illumination, right? Also, when headlights are ON the lights dim considerably for night driving. If you have headlights on during day it is nearly impossible to see them.... I would double check your dimmer dial on dash to make sure it is working first.

In my 2000, the dash lights aren't on unless the headlights are and there's no change from day to night. I wish I had the same illumination as the LX (and maybe later LC's?). Thinking about going to LED's and jumpering the system to have full-time dash lights.

low instrument light

Dimmer dial is set to full brightness, but nothing. I can hardly see the dials at night, practically nothing. One observation with the dimmer dial is that it rotates only about 1/4" is that normal? When headlights are on during day or night, instrument light is faint, almost as if they were off. any other thoughts?

go led's, I think there are only 9 bulbs and all are the same 194 bulb...look up anthonycds LED cluster and you will want to pay the $30 worth of lights...I like my LED cluster

it's "LEDs" not "led's".

to the OP, is your gauge fuse blown? maybe the only light that's lighting things is the gear indicator? Have you been inside the dash at all lately working on any DIY projects? Maybe the connector on the back of the dimmer switch got disconnected.

incorrect spelling must be a result of spending too much time on these forums
