My instrument cluster broke on my 94 Land Cruiser. It was showing 196000 miles. The new one that I replaced it with shows 345000. Can I turn back the odometer? Is that against the law to fool with it?

No, I don't think so, as long as you bring proof of what the actual or some what close to the actual mile it wouldn't do any harm. Have you tried getting the original fixed

It's not repairable so I bought a used one.
