Hello, I am new to this forum and I am new to Toyotas- my last car, years ago, was a 1989 Saab 900 Turbo. Since I live most of my life in a city, I had no need. But I always wanted a capable 4 wheel drive car once the time came. That time just came and I bought a used, 2004 Toyota 4runner V8 with 145k miles on it It's only been a week and I love the thing. But I never wanted it stock, otherwise I would have bought a Ford Escort. I have already ordered an EMU list and the next step is a ARB Bull bar. I would like to do all the work myself, but I am finding it very hard to find info specifically related to early 4th Gen 4runners, aside from pictures and videos. Can anyone help me get a grasp of what I would need to do and how hard it will be? I am very mechanically inclined and have been fixing small engines all my life, but I find this intimidating. I'd rather do it myself and save cash, but if it something best left to a pro, I will do that. Thanks for any help and advice in advance.
