Has anyone converted their rig to a manual choke set up? I am planning on doing it and would love any advice. I have searched the archives and haven't found anything. I have a rochester monojet carb. Does anyone know if a standard manual choke kit will work? or anything about the choke linkage on a monojet? is this a relatively simple procedure?

many thanks

Should be pretty strait forward. Provided the original choke cable is long enough, and there is a provision for retaining the cable to the carburetor, you should be good to go.
There are aftermarket choke cables at auto stores if you need a longer one. The only thing that I could see you running into would be the little bracket to hold the cable at the carburetor, nothing that you could not fabricate though, not too tough. If you have access to another truck running using the choke cable, you will see what I am talking about.

Good luck!
