Install a McNamara gear (1 Viewer)

Is there a write up? I'm not seeing it if there is. If there isn't I'll take some time and write one I guess.

I'm looking for things I may notice or should take notice of during the installation. I have a FSM and I have a nice selection of tools etc.

There are two writeups in the 3FE list files. One by Ken Flesher and the other by Mitch Rowland so you know they are both good writeups. It is pretty straightforward, rebuilding the T-case, just follow the FSM one step at a time and you will know when to install the McNamara. One thing to consider is that putting a new gear, the McNamara, up against an old used gear, the one already in your t-case, is likely to cause whining while the new gear breaks in to match the old gear's wear pattern and then it may continue to whine.
