Need some feedback here. I am debating on picking up OEM pintle hitches, with a tentative mud price of $195 shipped to US address. They will fit 7x, 8x, 100s and 200 series. Would you be a buyer?

Is this the OEM pintle hitch that mounts to the crossmember behind the bumper cover using 4 or 6 bolts?

Correct, 4 bolts. They are not included in this price, but I could put a hardware package if I were to move ahead.

Photos?

Don't know about 100 series but a 4-bolt USGI pintle hitch is a perfect fit for a '79 FJ40.

Note the USGI pintles come in several versions. I believe the correct one for an FJ40 is from a jeep or maybe M151 and have a plain flat base. The CUCV hitches had a rotation feature and the ones from the 2 1/2 ton and heavier trucks were much larger.

The GI hitches are forged, not cast like the ones for sale at farm stores.

The bolt pattern is universal . I'm selling a pintle that I had on a FJ80 for a short time.

That price seems like alot for a pintle hitch. Aren't there options for 100 series for less than $100 that bolt onto the cross member?

I am not going to bring them in, I was on the fence which is why I asked here first. But it is OEM which is why the price is higher than the chinese ones.

Prices are a function of demand, not factor inputs
