Hello again guys,

I just had a diagnostic tool readout on the injector values.
What is your conclusion of these values? How would you say the injectors are doing? Is it possible it is the #1 & 2 injectors that is faulty and making a ticking noise, which is heard best around 1600 rpm.
It is a 1VD-FTV with approximately 192000km/119300 miles.

Cold engine injection feedback values as follows:
#1 -2,34 mm3/st
#2 1,41 mm3/st
#3 -0,47 mm3/st
#4 0,62 mm3/st
#5 -0,78 mm3/st
#6 0,78 mm3/st
#7 -0,47 mm3/st
#8 0,31 mm3/st

Hot engine:
#1 -2,19 mm3/st
#2 1,09 mm3/st
#3 -0,47 mm3/st
#4 1,4 mm3/st
#5 -0,78 mm3/st
#6 -0,31 mm3/st
#7 0,94 mm3/st
#8 0 mm3/st

Or could it be the hydraulic lifters that is faulty?

Any thoughts or guesses are welcome!

Regards, Klas in Sweden

Hi Klas,
Are you running a fuel additive/injector cleaner at all - if not it's worth considering.
They are all in spec and I'd just be keeping an eye on #1, try a good quality injector cleaner - it may bring it back a bit.
I also run TCW-3 2 stroke at 200:1 to keep everything lubricated.
The soft limit is -3 to 3 over which is when I would want to be doing some investigation.
I'm not sure what hydraulic lifters would have to do with the compensation values?
Kind regards,
Mark

I run the Redline RL2. And have done so since a year back! Might have something for the injectors!
The lifters might produce the ticking sound so I didn’t mean it had something to do with the values!
