This is the build thread for Inigo - my 2025 Lexus GX550 OT in Incognito.

Named Inigo after Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride - the rig arrived the week I got married (last week).

The Options:

  • Wireless phone charger
  • 10.7-in color Head-Up Display
  • Tonneau cover
  • Cool box
  • Door Edge Trim
  • Illuminated Door Sills
  • Key Gloves
  • Black Emblem Overlays
  • All Weather Cargo Mat

Build plan:

  • Victory 4x4 "Blitz" Front Bumper (done)
  • Baja Designs S8 20" LED Light Bar (done)
  • 10k Winch (Smittybilt; doen)
  • Victory4x4 "Strike" Rear Bumper (done)
  • Rear Window MOLLE Panels (done)
  • Wescott Designs Rock Sliders (ordered)
  • Spidertrax 1" Wheel Spacers (done)
  • Wolfbox G900 Rear View Mirror with front/rear cameras. Connected to rear camera mounted trailer bumper and I can switch to when I connect the trailer. (done).
  • TuxMat Liners Front & Second Seat Floor Liners (done)
  • LaIIker 2 PCs Seat Back Protective Pad (done)
  • I will debadge it. We don't need no stinkin' badges! (done)
  • Victory4x4 roof bars (ordered).
  • I will get the front clip clear PPF'd and the roof done in black (because I really wanted the black roof).

Debatable/For Later:

  • VF Tuner ECU/TCU Tune. Sounds intriguing and Good. And I like moar power.
  • Cat-back exhaust. I don't care about the sound, but I am curious about some notes I read that the TRD exhaust gives better clearance?
  • Better tires. I'm not convinced the stock tires are as good as my K02s ore the newer K03s.

Hope y'all enjoy this adventure as much as I'm sure I will!

Now Inigo has officially been broken in…

Took him up to the Kennebec notch and some side trails. Lovely scratches along both sides from bushes, a nice scratch on the rear bumper, and a huge deflection of the skid plate.

So. Much. Fun.

Very happy with this rig.

Pretty sure I’m not seeing that right, it looks like there’s a hole in the upper left of the skid plate in the picture. What did you hit to dent up the skid plate and how hard did you hit it? Curious how durable the factory plates are.

Nope, just dirt. No hole (although it does look like it in the pic).

I misjudged a hole about 1' in diameter as I was about to head up another rough spot. I was going too fast and the hole was deeper than it appeared (full of water). The rightish side of rig came down hard on the ground (no rock, just solid dirt).

I'll post pics of the skid plate when I pull it.
