I’d call to get a couple quotes and offer to pay cash. If you have USAA you may be covered for a free tow.

Doh! What happened ?

The battery was going bad but it was shorting out and the computer was trying to reset while it was warming up in the am so it was running rough. Just didn't want to make something worse if it wasn't the battery.
