Vehicle is heading down the home stretch but unfortunately hit a snag in Canada. Body went in today for paint but unfortunately they cannot pull up a mix formula for Pollux Orange in Valspar or PPG. Does anyone know or have a mix formula for it? Appreciate all the knowledge here and if not I have a fall back in Freeborn Red plan.

I wasn’t able to come up with a “official” paint code, but this CCOT webpage got me across the finish line. I showed my paint guy all the other sources I could find, but that was the one that made sense to him.

I have no way of knowing if it totally correct. I like the final product and it’s a bit poppier than the CCOT pic on my phone. Hope that helps.

I found these on TCP Global site. Not sure if it helps.

I did try the pumpkin orange on a test panel back a few months and it is a truly beautiful color. Unfortunately my wife found it way to bright of a color and recommended the Pollux as a compromise. But beautiful rig

I used TCP when I painted my spring green 71, same type of sheet and TCP was able to get the color based on that. They referenced another code based on those numbers that I think was some kind of universal system but I don’t remember what it was called.

Is there a way to match using original paint? Since 1994 when got my 73 FST the passenger's side has never been exposed to UV light. PO had it stored in a garage since 1988 when it was taken off the road. Paint is definitely not thin and with rubbing compound original color should come out. A PO painted some lower sections with a different orange. Why I'm not sure. I prefer the original pollux orange.
